      The General Manager (GM) will oversee all aspects of Gulf Operators' operations, ensuring the seamless execution of projects while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and customer satisfaction. The GM will be responsible for business development, profit and loss management, budgeting, employee relations, safety, and forecasting. This role requires a dynamic leader who can inspire a diverse team, drive strategic initiatives, and fosters a culture of excellence.

      Qualifications

      • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
      • Minimum of 10 years of experience in the construction industry, with at least 5 years in a senior management role.
      • Proven track record in managing large-scale civil infrastructure projects desired.
      • Strong financial acumen with experience in budget management and financial forecasting.
      • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
      • Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
      • Strong business development skills with a network of industry contacts desired.
      • Comprehensive understanding of safety regulations and best practices in the construction industry.
      • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

      Responsibilities

      Leadership and Management:

      • Provide strategic direction and leadership to all areas of the business, ensuring alignment with the company’s vision, mission, and goals.
      • Supervise and mentor direct reports, including the Human Resources Manager, Operations Manager, Director, Aggregate, and Director, Business Development.
      • Partner with applicable areas of the Business including Human Resources, Finance and Communications to properly prepare and execute on business objectives.

      Business Development:

      • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand the company’s market presence.
      • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and partners.
      • Oversee the preparation and submission of proposals and bids for new projects.

      Financial Management:

      • Manage profit and loss statements to ensure financial health and profitability.
      • Develop and oversee annual budgets, ensuring cost-effective operations and adherence to financial targets.
      • Conduct financial forecasting and analysis to support strategic decision-making for projects and work being completed.

      Operational Excellence:

      • Ensure efficient and effective execution of all projects, meeting, or exceeding client expectations.
      • Oversee equipment maintenance and asset management to ensure minimal downtime and operational efficiency.
      • Implement and monitor performance metrics to drive continuous improvement.
      • Foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture, promoting teamwork and employee engagement.

      Safety and Compliance:

      • Champion a safety-first culture, ensuring all operations comply with safety regulations and best practices.
      • Ensure environmental compliance in all projects and promote sustainable practices.
      • Regularly review and update safety protocols and training programs.
