Participates in developing short and long-range strategic goals and organizational policies and procedures for areas of responsibility .
Leads analysis of both corporate and departmental operational/organizational systems, policy and procedures, and processes, and recommends changes according to accepted process improvement methodology .
Attends and participates in relevant and required meetings/committees and communicates appropriate information to managers and staff.
Contributes to the accomplishments of both corporate and departmental short and long-range strategic goals for operations, procedures and space requirements.
Assists in developing and implementing specific corporate and departmental programs, products and services.
Coordinates with C C OO, Sr. Admin team, and departments with direct reporting responsibility to ensure organizational problems are identified and resolved.
Supports employee development and Practice growth through corporate in-services, appropriate seminars and classes.
Supports OC facilities to implement decisions, assisting facility Medical Directors operationally, create and monitor clinical care policy, procedure and compliance.
Assists assigned OC Project Manager, and development team with the operational assessment/due diligence, planning, and implementation of new OC business.
Ability to operate effectively and understand the complexity of a large organizational environment. Involve others appropriately in consultations and decisions.
Capacity to use sound business judgment and be supportive of OrthoCarolina’ s mission and objectives .
Capacity to develop partnerships, teamwork and good working relationships. Geared toward maintaining an open management style.
Exhibits analytical skills and an understanding of operational processes and technology concepts.
Strong orientation to deadline and detail .
Able to manage and prioritize a diverse and demanding workload.
Strong leadership skills and ability to work well within a cross-functional administrative team.
Ability to work effectively with patients, personnel and physicians
Bachelor of Science in Health or Business Administration or 5 years minimum comparable experience.
Professional development courses in health care, human resource management, business administration and other related areas.
Master’s in health/business administration or related field a plus.
Five years of leadership/management experience.
Five years of experience in the health care industry .
Experience leading conversions and operational implementation of healthcare technologies such as practice management systems, electronic health records, PACS, telecommunications / call center applications, etc.
Experience in new practice start-ups, practice acquisitions/ mergers.

We are currently searching for a Director of Clinical Operations to join our Administrative Team .
T he Director of Clinical Operations is responsible for directing, leading and coordinating the Practice Managers and staff at OrthoCarolina locations to ensure provision of quality, cost-effective care for our patients. This position is responsible for assisting with strategic planning and implementation of g roup’s growth and development plans and objectives including, among other duties, analyzing and assisting with new service line development and new business development, working collaboratively with various support department directors as necessary, and providing operational analytical support to OrthoCarolina.
