Gannon University’s Doctor of Physical Therapy Program, located at the Ruskin, Florida campus, seeks a core faculty member to serve as the Director of Clinical Education, with assigned rank and appointment based on experience and earned degree. This full-time, 12-month position will begin upon hire or as negotiated. Gannon seeks excellence through inclusiveness and invites members of underrepresented groups to apply.
Gannon University faculty work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver instruction, advise students, engage in scholarship, and participate in service. The Director of Clinical Education will work closely with the Program Director to manage the Clinical Education program including placing students in appropriate clinical sites, monitoring student progression, addressing conflict, and providing support and training to clinical partners. The faculty team will work closely with the Director of Clinical Education to monitor and discuss student readiness for clinical experiences. The Director of Clinical Education also holds faculty responsibilities including teaching, scholarship, and service. Instructional content areas are to be determined by candidate expertise and program needs.
A successful candidate is a self-starter who demonstrates flexibility, open communication, and good organizational skills.
Gannon University is located in Ruskin, Florida along the Gulf Coast of Florida in the Tampa Bay/St. Petersburg/Bradenton region. The DPT program is housed within the School of Rehabilitative Sciences in the Morosky College of Health Professions and Sciences.About the company
