- Strategic Planning: Develop and execute a comprehensive cloud infrastructure strategy that supports the company's business goals and technological needs.
- Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of cloud engineers and architects, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Cloud Architecture: Design and implement scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud solutions, ensuring high availability and disaster recovery capabilities.
- Vendor Management: Manage relationships with Managed Services Providers, Cloud Service Providers, and other key vendor partners, including negotiating contracts and ensuring service level agreements (SLAs) are met.
- Security: Implement robust security measures to protect cloud infrastructure from threats and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Performance Monitoring: Monitor cloud infrastructure performance, identifying and resolving issues to maintain optimal system functionality.
- Budget Management: Develop and manage the cloud infrastructure budget, optimizing costs while delivering high-quality services.
- Innovation: Stay abreast of emerging cloud technologies and trends, recommending and implementing innovative solutions to enhance the company's cloud capabilities.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other IT leaders and business stakeholders to integrate cloud strategies with overall IT and business plans. Builds and maintains relationships with key vendors and creates cost-effective contracts
- Leads effective performance management and professional talent development across all respective departments
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, including but not limited to compliance and operational risk. Demonstrate consideration for Cenlar’s reputation as well as our clients, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in IT infrastructure management, with at least 5 years in cloud infrastructure roles.
- Extensive knowledge in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. Strong knowledge of cloud architecture, security, and best practices.
- Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a track record of successfully managing complex projects.
- Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect, or Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect are highly desirable.
The Director, Cloud Infrastructure Engineering & Operations is responsible for leading the strategic planning, development, and management of the company's cloud infrastructure. This role involves overseeing the design, implementation, and maintenance of cloud-based systems to ensure optimal performance, security, and scalability. The Director will collaborate with cross-functional teams to align cloud strategies with business objectives and drive innovation in cloud technologies. This role is accountable for oversight of our Managed Services Provider, providing direction and oversight. This role reports to the SVP, Technology Programs.
