      What is the opportunity?

      In this role, you will be accountable for the strategy, execution and delivery of the RBC Co-brand Cards strategic initiatives focused on simplifying and improving the way we do business for our clients, Co-brand partners, sales force and back office. You will synthesize and execute strategies across channels and multiple partners and stakeholders. You will own the overall financial goals of the business and lead on the development and implementation of strategic initiatives. You will manage the WestJet strategic relationships with the goal of delivering superior partnership and P&L / Product management enabling RBC to meet and exceed business drivers and annual profitability objectives. The role entails the end-to-end management of the entire product portfolio with a focus on acquisition, retention and delivery of a suite of insights and solutions to optimize performance. You will lead on revenue delivery, financial forecasting & reporting, and the development of Co-brand partner strategies that support joint business objectives. Specific focus is on P&L management including portfolio performance, partnership management, marketing strategy, cards benefits/features, analysis and client experience with a goal of profitable growth via optimizing revenue and market share.

      What will you do?

      • Relationship manager to WestJet strategic partnership, align growth strategies with the partners and among all RBC stakeholders

      • P&L management for WestJet portfolio responsible for strategy, forecasting, product features and development, promotion, pricing and process enhancements for revenue optimization

      • Responsible for product management including planning, creating business cases, setting growth objectives and managing key revenue drivers

      • Responsible for overall positioning and branding of Co-brand card portfolio as well as the management of the go-to-market strategy

      • Ensure implementation of strategies designed to support the product objectives are completed on time on budget and meet partner expectations and contractual obligations

      • Identify performance trends and recommend initiatives to increase competitiveness

      • Continuously monitor performance and deliver results via monthly and quarterly reports and insights to assess performance

      What do you need to succeed?

      Must have:

      • Well-developed interpersonal and influencing skills to build and maintain effective working relationships and elicit cooperation from internal partners

      • Strategic business sense with planning and implementation capabilities, strategic thinking and negotiation skills

      • Demonstrated ability to lead change

      • Previous experience with partner and/or vendor relationship management

      • Understanding of key credit card business drivers with strong financial analysis skills

      • Excellent critical thinking skills with ability to resolve issues through innovative solutions

      • Excellent communication skills (listening, understanding and responding)

      • Strong client focus/orientation

      • Attention to detail

      • Proven time and self-management skills

      • Undergraduate degree

      Nice to have:

      • Demonstrated experience within the credit card industry

      • Credit card financial and analytical skills

      • Experience with partner negotiations, contract work and/or RFP responses
