Develop and execute comprehensive community engagement strategies, with a focus on political stakeholders and priority geographies where Gap Inc. has the biggest community impact.
Build and maintain relationships with community leaders, organizations, and stakeholders.
Partner with sustainability team on corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives and programs.
Collaborate with colleagues across the business to track, measure, and maximize community engagement opportunities and activities to ensure that the full assets of the organization are leveraged.
Provide connectivity and coordination among internal teams to optimize priorities and share information across the groups.
Monitor and evaluate the impact of community engagement activities, with a focus on political engagement strategies.
Represent the company at community events and meetings.
Stay informed about community issues and trends in priority geographies that may affect the company.
Lead company-wide efforts and initiatives on San Francisco revitalization.
- Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Business Administration, or related field.
- 7-10 years' experience in community affairs, public relations, or a related field.
- Experience developing and implementing successful community engagement strategies, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong executive presence and experience advising and interfacing with senior executives and political stakeholders, excellent executive- level verbal and written communication.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
About the Role
The Director of Community Engagement will complement government affairs strategies by leading the development and implementation of community engagement strategies for political stakeholders. This role will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with community stakeholders, leveraging corporate social responsibility programs, educating and incorporating political stakeholders into this work, and ensuring the company's activities positively impact the communities in which we operate.What You'll Do
