Job Description

- Participate in short and long term strategic and tactical planning and initiatives to ensure that the financial needs of the organization are met.
- Oversee all financial reporting for the organization including, but not limited to external and internal audits, monthly financial close activities, and quarterly financial reviews.
- Oversee all Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Office Services, Internal Controls and Financial reporting functions, ensuring compliance with company policy and all relevant regulatory requirements.
- Evaluate current procedures and identify areas of improvement.
- Oversight of various monthly account reconciliations to ensure items are processed properly.
- Develop and execute analysis of business initiatives and makes recommendations based on results.
- Lead, manage and develop others in the finance function of the company, with emphasis on succession planning and preparing others for roles of increasing responsibility.
- Provide support as needed to Payroll, Treasury and Corporate tax processes
- Serves as a role model for others in the organization, embodying honesty, integrity and participative leadership techniques
- Employ flexibility and the ability to manage change.
- Perform all other duties and special projects as assigned
- Undergraduate degree in Finance or Accounting required.
- Accounting designation required (Chartered Professional Accountant Designation)
- 8+ years’ experience progressive experience in Finance / Accounting
- 4 years’ at a management level; multiple levels of reporting relationships strongly preferred
- Extensive knowledge and experience within own function and general knowledge of areas, departments and/or function(s) within and across other disciplines
- Advanced leadership skills driven by values that support the objectives of the company
- Has breadth and depth of a wide range of accounting concepts, principles, and practices
- Understanding of the business, operations, key drivers, and success factors
- Duties involving considerable judgment to work independently, apply existing methods, techniques and procedures to meet operational requirements
- Ability to supervise, coach, counsel and objectively evaluate employees
- Problem solving of various duties involving related process and methods
- Analytical skills requiring consideration of facts, circumstances and determination of action to be taken
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills, with a proven ability to meet deadlines

Pay:
We offer competitive wages that are commensurate with job-related skills, experience, relevant education or training, and geographic location, starting in the range of $127,450.00 - $200,730.00 CAD annually for full time employees.
