      The Director, Corporate Partnerships, is an integral part of the Development Leadership Team and provides experienced fundraising strategies to develop collaborative, strategic Corporate Partnerships. The Director leads efforts to engage, cultivate, solicit, and steward a portfolio of corporate prospects at all major gift-levels, with a focus on securing six and seven-figure philanthropic sponsorship. Through effective portfolio management, the Director qualifies and secures funding from donors capable of giving $500,000 - $2,000,000 and assures donor retention upgrade strategies are successfully executed. This pivotal role will oversee the Corporate Partnership Program operations, providing exceptional guidance for best practices in prospect cultivation, gift solicitation, processing, database management, prospect research, stewardship and cultivation events.

      Essential Duties & Responsibilities

      • Develops a portfolio of corporate donors with giving potential in the range of $500,000 - $2,000,000. Develops and implements strategic cultivation, solicitation and engagement strategies for assigned prospects.
      • Cultivates and stewards new relationships with institutional funders and develops funding opportunities.
      • Conducts prospect research to identify new potential corporate partners that support Goodwill Southern California’s mission.
      • Serves as a primary partner to the Chief Development Officer and executive team members to build a strong prospect pipeline.
      • Creates and executes a moves management plan for each corporate donor in portfolio.
      • Writes complex proposals for solicitation of high-value corporate prospects.
      • Designs and implements highly specialized program and engagement activities to achieve goals.
      • Develops, creates, writes, implements, and evaluates individualized marketing plans and strategies for cultivation and solicitation of major gifts prospects.
      • Organizes and conducts in-person development meetings, virtual and site visits, presentations, and events with corporate donors.
      • Collaborates with development team members to create corporate event programming to increase awareness of Goodwill Southern California’s mission.

      Education & Experience

      • 7+ years of relevant experience as an experienced development professional with strong relationships with corporate gifts.
      • Demonstrated ability to secure major gifts of $250,000+.
      • Experience in gaining access to and establishing connections with national business, foundation, and industry leaders, philanthropists, and other high-level individuals.
      • Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university required.
      • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Must be able to write concise reports and possess strong presentation skills.
      • Excellent problem solving skills and attention to details.
      • Strong project management skills including organization and time management to expedite project completion.
      • Ability to handle confidential information.
      • Must have advanced knowledge proficiency of computer programs in a Windows environment, including Word, Excel, Teams, and E-mail.
      • Experience with Contact Management systems; SalesForce experience preferred.
      • This position requires local travel (50% of the time); a valid CA driver's license and state-required auto insurance is required.
      • Background, Drug Screen, MVR, LiveScan and Employment Verification required.
