- This is a front office role, leading on sustainability engagement with clients in the Infrastructure, Energy and Industrials (manufacturing and related) sectors with an advisory mindset, originating across the products & propositions of the Group.
- Own the successful origination and execution of sustainable finance opportunities including a clear focus on the energy transition.
- Provide clients with market leading insights on the topic of sustainability with a deep knowledge of technical matters.
- Maintain a strong understanding of cross-sector trends in Sustainability, ESG and climate change, and be able to influence and collaborate with clients and key partners, both internally and externally.
- Develop and deliver sustainability strategies with the identified sectors working with Product and Coverage to achieve across financial, purpose and people scorecard
- Develop productive and positive relationships with external partners in the market representing LBG at the highest levels at industry events and with clients as we transform our business.
- Lead research on clients, markets and competitors using ESG data and other information and sources to present to clients in a clear and compelling way.
- Provide thought leadership in the creation of marketing materials, pitch-books and reports, to ensure successful promotion of the bank and the team’s ESG activities both internally and externally to develop an industry leading profile in this area.
- Passion and expertise relating to the energy transition and it’s application in the infrastructure, energy and industrials sectors.
- In-depth knowledge relevant international, national and sector specific sustainability trends.
- A proven record of delivering sustainability linked or use of proceeds financings or a demonstrative track record of origination in a client facing environment.
- Existing external profile in Sustainability and clear passion for sustainability.
- A growth mindset that is solutions focused with well cultivated business judgement and high ethical and professional standards.
- Proven track record of coordinating multiple partners to deliver in sophisticated and evolving environments.

We have a great opportunity for a Director to join our Sustainability and Client Advisory (S&CA) team. You'll take a lead role in supporting clients to deliver their sustainability objectives, and be a trusted advisor, leading ground-breaking transformation in this space.
