  Job Title: Director, Corporate Communications

  Department: Human Resources

  FLSA Status: Exempt

  Position Overview:

  The Director of Corporate Communications will be responsible for supporting the execution of Insulet’s global internal and external communications strategy. This role will focus on delivering comprehensive communications strategies that engage target audiences and convey Insulet’s powerful and innovative messages about our products, services, and people across all channels. This self-reliant and inspiring leader will create overall Insulet brand awareness, drive understanding of Company goals and objectives, and collaborate with leaders on critical change management communications such as Global Business Services.

  Responsibilities:

  • Promote and manage Insulet brand awareness through all social media platforms such as corporate website, LinkedIn, and other digital channels.

  • Develop media and public relations plans, strategies, tactics, and events to elevate Insulet’s mission, impact, and thought leadership.

  • Manage Insulet corporate website and digital media including design, maintenance, and analytics.
  • Develop and lead organizational change management communications, ensuring employees are informed and engaged during change initiatives and transitions.
  • Present recommendations to all levels of leadership, including executives, with the ability to communicate complex concepts/positions and at times, influence others to consider alternative points of view.
  • Work with internal clients and departmental groups to plan and execute concepts and communications projects, including needs assessment, scope and budget, resources, and task prioritization.
  • Ensure timelines, milestones, and deliverables are established and meet the needs of stakeholders.
  • Write and/or review content in many forms and styles: presentations, speaking notes and full remarks, talking points, intranet stories and content, video scripts, internal reports, etc.
  • Develop and maintain clear and consistent key messaging that aligns with Insulet’s goals and values, such as talking points, Q&As, fact sheet content, etc. using multiple internal and external sources.
  • Work closely with all other members the Corporate Communications team to accomplish goals. Serve as a back-up to other members of the team.
  • Serve on crisis communications team overseeing communications workflows for event response.
  • Support other corporate communications initiatives as needed.
  • Performs other duties as required.

  Education and Experience:

  Minimum Requirements:

  The successful candidate will have the following qualifications and experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, or related Public Relations or Communications field.
  • 12+ years’ progressive experience in Corporate Communications or a related role.
  • Proven communications expertise and strategy development and execution.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate in writing with clarity and with proper pronunciation, grammar, and style. Knowledge and ability to apply AP style.
  • Experience working with key stakeholders to prioritize and deliver against multiple and/or complex projects.
  • Ability to interact with diverse groups of people, develop strong networks, and build credibility within the organization to drive projects forward.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Prior experience leading and directing the work of employees and/or project teams.

  Additional Information:

  The US base salary range for this full-time position is $161,200.00 - $233,740.00. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position in the primary work location in the US. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
