Research new, emerging technologies to continue to provide the most effective tools for teaching and learning.
Students, faculty, and staff in using their digital tools. Provide training for new and returning instructors and students. Provide resources and documentation for ongoing skills improvement.
Documentation, presentations, and displays for accreditation reviews as well as special projects
Active engagement – students can display their work and instructors can provide feedback. Everyone can participate to the fullest in their online classrooms.
Free flowing communication between students, their classmates, and their instructors, while providing accessibility of all technologies and interfaces.
Provide interfaces that enact/enforce academic policies and design custom interfaces for custom solutions, when necessary.
Oversee the maintenance and improvements to course templates.
Help directors find solutions for their unique areas of instruction.
Manage and oversee training for students, instructors, and staff. Teach people how to use the digital tools that make up the family of technologies that comprise the ArtU digital campus.
Oversee the writing, production, and updating of training materials for students, instructors, and staff.
Lead training sessions for instructors and staff.
Monitor department lounges for questions about the systems
Support sites for departments, teams, and staff.
Departmental midpoint and final review sites. Support Assessment team with rubrics and review courses.
Design, production, and maintenance of global assets and resources.
Course templates and style guide to meet University wide goals for consistency, clarity, and high performance. Gradebook design to meet school policy on grading.
Managing in-house development.
Oversee news carousel.
Write and produce reports on the state of online education for accreditors.
Represent online education in accreditation visits.
Support department directors in the production of accreditation displays.
Deep love of art and artists – understand studio culture and arts education.
Appreciate the hard-won skills of people who have staked their future on their creativity.
Excellent writing skills, communication skills, and presentation skills.
Develop working relationships with department directors and staff, problem solver.
Experience with asynchronous learning, online education best practices, and learning management systems.
Broad familiarity with educational technologies and experience with LTI integrations.
Flexibility. Ability to learn new skills. Ability to absorb and synthesize new information.
Front end web languages: HTML, CSS, Javascript
Media production: images, video, audio
Familiarity with Microsoft Office and Adobe CC
Understand issues of accessibility on the web.
Experience with Tableau, DOMO, or Amazon QuickSight is preferred
Web design or application design experience is preferred

The Director of Creative Development researches and finds solutions for issues involving educational technologies. The Director also provides leadership in shaping the digital environment instructors and students use daily. The successful Director of Creative Development will develop the learning environment in response to student and faculty needs, always putting students first.

Compensation:
$85,000 to $110,000.00/annual: based on experience and location, this is a fully remote role.
