- Conceptualize creative production initiatives, lead show ideation and thematic development for all Macy’s Studios events (Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, Fourth of July Fireworks, Holiday Celebrations and Macy’s Flower Show)
- Collaborate with stakeholders, and creative leadership to clearly define event/show requirements and project goals.
- Provide creative leadership and direction throughout production process and maintain consistent creative vision for all events/shows.
- Work closely with writers, directors, music producers, designers, and other creative/production professionals to ensure the final product meets highest standards of quality and aligns with the creative vision of brand.
- Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets. Manage project budgets, ensuring resources are allocated efficiently so projects stay on schedule and within budget. Negotiate contracts and agreements with vendors, freelancers, and other collaborators.
- Foster a collaborative and positive working environment. Lead brainstorming sessions that generate innovative ideas/concepts and motivate team to drive creative excellence and results.
- Lead celebrity talent initiatives and strategy for all marquee event/show opportunities
- Set clear goals and objectives for the team, and regularly assess performance, providing feedback and guidance as needed
- Collaborate cross functionally with brand, communications, digital, procurement, and human resources to identify clear business needs and priorities which require Macy’s Studios support.
- Recruit talented, collaborative, high-performing production specialists who consistently deliver excellence.
- Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and creative innovations.
- Identify and implement process improvements to streamline production workflow and develop strategies for growth through technology and innovation
- Minimum 10 years of experience as creative producer in television production, theater production, or equivalent in live events required
- Organization and attention to detail

- Adobe Creative Suite preferred
- Regular hours in off-season; During peak event season, some weekend, late nights and holidays will be required based on the event need.
Job Overview
Director, Creative Production (Creative Producer) brings a combination of creative vision, inspirational leadership, and industry knowledge to Macy’s Studios. As a creative and strategic leader, they will motivate, development and drive big ideas from concept to completion for Macy’s Studios tentpole events, including: the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, Fourth of July Fireworks, Holiday Celebrations and Macy’s Flower Show.
This role requires a comprehensive understanding of the creative, organizational, and technical skills necessary to execute live national broadcast events that meet intended objectives. Role reports directly to VP, Executive Producer of Macy’s Studios.
