      The Director, Credit Risk is responsible for monitoring, managing and executing the credit risk operating policies and standards to optimize the Company's credit policies and segment specific guidelines to drive sustainable and profitable growth within risk appetite and regulatory guidance. The incumbent will represent the 3rd line of defense by monitoring and supervising credit policies to ensure consistency with all applicable enterprise and U.S. level and Corporate Risk Management (DGR) frameworks and policies.

      • Manages, builds, & monitors Loss Forecasting for Retail Bank, evaluate new methodologies, evaluate assumptions, provide variance explanation and delinquency & loss drivers

      • Ensures that the continuous systematic monitoring processes are able to identify alarms/alerts and implement such systems as necessary to capture the defined risk.

      • Analyzes portfolio characteristics and trends across the entire credit life cycle identifying potential deviations and areas of concern to approved Strategic Business Plans, ensuring appropriate action plans as needed.

      • Manages and monitors the credit risk operating policies, and standards to drive growth within risk appetite and regulatory guidance.

      • Evaluates and reports on compliance with the Credit Risk Frameworks, policies and procedures and laws, regulations and guidelines.

      • Ensures adherence to the policies and procedures established by the company.

      • Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.

      • Work Experience: 9+ years in Credit Risk Management, Internal Audit, or Risk Monitoring.

      • Work experience building, managing & monitor Loss Forecasting, evaluating methodology & assumptions, provide variance explanation and delinquency & loss drivers

      • Demonstrated skill at building, leading and managing high-performance teams.

      • Knowledge of risk management fundamentals and familiarity with current federal and state laws and regulations, especially those of regulatory entities that perform oversight of the banking industry.

      • Strong experience with credit risk underwriting practices, account management practices, counterparty credit risk assessment (including Financial Institutions risk) and US Bank regulations.

      • Excellent oral and written communication skills to describe complex ideas, influence stakeholders, business units and senior leadership.

      • Proficiency with managing disparate stakeholders with differing interests, including strong negotiation skills.

      • Ability to handle conflict resolution with other groups to ensure appropriate accounting guidance is followed.

      Working Conditions: Frequent Minimal physical effort such as sitting, standing and walking. Occasional moving and lifting equipment and furniture is required to support onsite and offsite meeting setup and teardown. Physically capable of lifting up to fifty pounds, able to bend, kneel, climb ladders.

      The base pay range for this position is posted below and represents the annualized salary range. For hourly positions (non-exempt), the annual range is based on a 40-hour work week. The exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, training, licensure and certifications and location.

      Base Pay Range

      Minimum:

      $135,000.00 USD

      Maximum:

      $240,000.00 USD
