Job Description

- Lead and steer the creation of the optimal omni-channel product range across all categories and channels in South Africa.
- Drive range architecture and market segmentation to deliver a robust Category plan in the Cluster and ensure all Brand and Channel KPI targets are met.
- Be the lead representative for South Africa CTC to EM CTC&BUs and other markets CTC.
- Lead the Marketing Operations function by guiding the Go-to-Market seasonal process within guidelines set for EM by Global Mops.
- Member of the Marketing leadership team, therefore contributing to the leadership of the entire department.
- Work closely with EM CTC&BU’s and define the number of articles allocated (total, per price brackets, per category, per division, per gender, per channel) and the product segmentation for South Africa.
- Lead teams responsible for CTC Merchandising and Mops functions within South Africa which includes Range Architecture, Price Architecture, Assortment Planning and GTM processes.
- Serve as the primary market liaison for all relevant Merchandising topics.
- Responsible for the submission of market forecasts in system (RMA) as well as price and margin management according to Cluster P&L requirements.
- Setting up and executing a brilliant Go-to-Market plan including leading internal sales meetings, customer sell-ins and managing article master data & the maintenance thereof.
- Drive efficiencies and share best practices relating to key business services such as samples, catalogues, showrooms, sell-in tools, initiatives and events.
- Significant knowledge & experience of Sport & Retail Industries & Retail ranging processes.
- Experience in Strategic Brand management & Marketing communication.
- Experience in Retail & Merchandise management.
- Strong leadership, interpersonal and influencing skills (e.g., relationship management, team facilitation, key stakeholder management)
- Relevant Consumer knowledge & understanding, consumer / customer first mindset.
- Ability to provide strategic & tangible input around Market and Commercial needs.
- Advanced user of MS Office suite of products.
- Previous People manager experience crucial.
- Strong presentation/communications skills.

- Plan and host timely team meetings in the market and regular travel to Global / EM Markets.

- University degree in Business and/or a minimum of 15 years equivalent professional experience, ideally in Sales and/or Marketing.
- Experience working with stakeholders and experts at very senior levels.
- Fluent in English.
