Strategic Analysis : Provide deep insights into competitive landscape, and market entry strategies, helping to shape go/no-go decisions , trial design, and resource allocation for oncology pipeline assets.
Commercial Viability : Collaborate with cross-functional teams to inform assessments of the commercial viability of pipeline assets and tr ia l investments , providing data driven market landscapes, opportunity assessments, and demand drivers .
Data Mining and Analytics : Leverage internal and external data sources, including clinical trial data, market performance data, and competitive intelligence, to identify emerging opportunities and risks for pipeline assets.
Advanced Analytics : Apply advanced statistical and machine learning techniques to predict market dynamics, assess TPP demand , and optimize pipeline strategy.
R&D and Commercial Collaboration : Act as the key analytics partner to R esearch , c linical d evelopment, Business Assessment , and Commercial Strategy and Insights , providing data-driven insights to guide asset development and commercialization strategies.
Cross-Functional Engagement : Work closely with key stakeholders across c linical development, market access, marketing, and business development to ensure alignment on pipeline strategies and key business decisions.
Leadership Influence : Present complex data insights to senior leadership, including scenario analyses, market entry strategies, and competitive landscape assessments, driving alignment and strategic action.
Data Sourcing : Collaborate with the Director of Oncology Data Enabl ement to i dentify and assess new data sources (e.g., real-world evidence, patient data, competitive intelligence) to provide deeper insights into oncology pipeline performance.
Data Democratization : Support efforts to democratize analytics across the organization by building and sharing analytical tools and insights that can be leveraged by broader CSI, global, and development teams.
Emerging Technologies : Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and innovative analytic approaches, integrating new methodologies into pipeline analytics to enhance decision-making.
Asset Valuation : Support valuation exercises for oncology pipeline assets, providing secondary data analysis and market assessment to guide investment decisions.
Scenario Planning : Support and c onduct scenario planning and risk assessments for pipeline assets, providing senior leadership with insights on potential market opportunities and challenges under various future conditions.
Education : Bachelor’s degree in data science, analytics, biological or physical sciences, business, statistics, or a related field. Master’s degree or advanced degree in a quantitative discipline preferred.
Experience : Minimum of 10 + years of experience in analytics, data science, or commercial strategy, with at least 5+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry (oncology experience preferred) . Post graduate education can substitute for experience.
Technical Skills : Expertise in data analysis and modeling tools such as Python, R, SQL, and data visualization platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI). Experience with advanced analytics techniques such as machine learning and predictive modeling.
Pharma Data Knowledge : Deep understanding of pharmaceutical data sources, including clinical trial data, real-world evidence, and patient-level data.
Candidate demonstrates a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact.
Oncology Expertise : Experience working in oncology, with a thorough understanding of the drug development process, competitive landscape, and market dynamics.
Cross-Functional Experience : Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Research, clinical development, Business Assessment and Commercial Strategy and Insights to deliver insights that drive strategic decisions.
Strategic Thinking : Ability to translate data into strategic insights and actionable recommendations for pipeline asset development and commercialization.
Analytical Leadership : Demonstrated ability to lead complex analytics projects, manage competing priorities, and deliver high-quality insights under tight timelines.
Communication Skills : Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex analytical findings to senior leadership and cross-functional teams in a clear and

Role Summary:
The Director of Pipeline Analytics (Oncology) is responsible for delivering strategic, data-driven insights for pipeline assets in Pfizer’s oncology portfolio. This role focuses on using advanced analytics and data science techniques to support critical decision-making across clinical development stages and commercial strategy planning. The Director will work closely with cross-functional partners, including R&D, M arketing, Pipeline Market Insights , and F inance teams, to ensure that analytics drive the development and commercialization of pipeline oncology assets. This position reports to the Senior Director of Data Science & Analytics and will collaborate with the Pipeline Market Insights vertical , Global Marketing, and Commercial Strategy and Innovation (CSI) .
