      Job Description Summary :

      The Director, Digital Ad Operations is responsible for owning the trafficking of Havas Edge Display, Search, Social, and Online Video. You will own tasks related to tagging, trafficking, monitoring, troubleshooting, creative specifications, and quality assurance of multiple campaigns. To effectively do this, you are responsible for driving communication between our Client Services, Analytics, Operations, and technical teams to ensure accurate and efficient implementation and delivery of media campaigns.

      Additionally, you will have an advanced understanding of web technology and be able to find areas to escalate technical issues and collaborate on projects with engineering and data science teams. The Director, Digital Ad Operations will be responsible for reviewing and developing the current processes in the Digital workflow to ensure best in class service is provide to our clients. You will serve as a subject matter expert and will attend client facing calls during the campaign onboarding process. You will own the integration and operations of new technologies such as ad servers, third party tracking, and other ad operation owned technologies.

      Essential Job Functions and Duties:

      • Own the full onboarding and trafficking of campaigns across multiple media channels
      • Review campaign media plans, documents, and updates with Ad Ops Analyst and media team before trafficking to ensure consistent and accurate set-up
      • Work closely with partners and analytics department to ensure campaigns are being set up correctly and tracked properly, and plans allow them to collect data accurately, efficiently, and effectively
      • Works with key stakeholders on the team to create ad product roadmap/strategy – including execution and development of new data/pixel onboarding
      • Execute timely implementation, analytics set up, and trafficking of campaigns across multiple channels including Display, Search, Social, and Online Video.
      • Generate and implement pixels in various technology platforms and develop an understanding of best practices, technology capabilities, and troubleshooting tactics
      • Monitor pixels, creatives, and strategies for technical issues throughout campaigns using various tools such as SQL, Excel, and Tableau.
      • Own measurement implementation for specific marketing channels such Display, Search, Social, and Online Video.
      • Troubleshoot technical issues and locate source of problem to be presented and resolved in client facing communication
      • Develop tagging strategy (cross-department, and as part of individual client onboarding & management)
      • Manage outsourced/offshore Ad Ops team, as needed
      • Critically evaluate current processes, overhauling these where necessary to drive efficiencies and improve team performance
      • Establish/refine processes and training parameters to ensure flawless, on-time execution by operational teams
      • Coordinate with analytics teams to ensure data (from varied sources) can be easily fed into outsourced tools and systems
      • Ensure teams are effectively and efficiently using current tools and systems through training and/or establishment and adherence to best practices
      • Audit and evaluate technology solutions being used, and identify opportunities to improve and/or create new tools and systems that will drive savings or generate new revenue
      • Thought leadership as it pertains to the Ad Ops service, inclusive of tools, tech, trainings, etc.
      • Adhere to quality assurance guidelines to ensure a low error rate when trafficking campaigns
      • Serve as a subject matter expert on digital trafficking best practices and process
      • Organize and implement campaigns into an ad server and provide feedback on automation and organizational efficiency to develop best practices for the department
      • Check that creatives are up to specification for multiple channels and maintain a document with publisher, DSP, and industry changes
      • Prepare trafficking project for Ad Ops Analyst to maintain a low error rate when automation is not present
      • Actively participate in discussions regarding trafficking strategies, campaign objectives, upcoming schedule and related operational issues
      • Seek out opportunities to implement solutions that increase the effectiveness and efficiencies of the department, including the development of tools, processes, and reporting metrics
      • Participate and help lead in operational duties, including monitoring status of jobs daily, preparing weekly status reports for internal partners and conducting recurring Ad Ops team meetings

      MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

      • You have a minimum 6 – 8 years’ experience in an ad operations performance marketing environment
      • You have a minimum of 6-8 years’ experience trafficking display, search, social, and online video.
      • You have a minimum of 6-8 years’ experience trafficking in major social and search platforms such as Google, Facebook, and Bing
      • You are proficient in working with data in tools such as SQL, Excel, and Tableau
      • You have an advanced understanding of web technologies in advertising context such as Browsers, Databases, Data Formatting, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, XML, and VAST
      • You have prior experience working in Google Analytics, Google Campaign Manager, and other ad servers, and implementing third party tracking, with the ability to resolve technical issues, such as delivery investigation, third party media issues, understanding & debugging 3rd party pixels
      • You demonstrate solid troubleshooting and problem-solving skills; ability to use the results of investigation and analysis to make effective strategic decisions, find and correct errors, and create processes to limit future mistakes
      • You have a thorough understanding of rich media, dynamic creative, mobile, and video ads units
      • You can create documentation and set standard best practices for operational workflows
      • You can onboard technology and utilize in-house resources to fully own projects
      • You can mentor and train new employees in a fast-paced work environment
      • You are a data-driven marketer with analytical and quantitative skills who thinks creatively to decide testing methodologies and draw insights from large data sets
      • You are skilled in organizing, planning, and executing projects from conception through implementation
      • You have excellent verbal and written communication skills
      • You have strong attention to detail and are process oriented
      • You can work cross-functionally and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
      • You work well under pressure, while maintaining accuracy and professional demeanor
      • You are a self-starter with a willingness to drive the business forward; you bring new ideas to the table and always have a willingness to evolve and adapt

      PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:

      • Bachelor’s Degree required, Economics, Statistics, Business, Marketing, Computer Science, or Advertising preferred
      • You have deep knowledge of ad serving and data technologies, DFP, DMP (Lotame) and AdX
