Accountable for budget & financial performance for all services referenced above.
Conducts research and publishes “white papers” and “decision point documents” for use in the department, user communities, Care Delivery Council, and Executive IT Steering Committee.
Directs and leads the five year strategic roadmap for EHR Services including all program areas referenced above.
Directs and leads the LPCH community physician EHR product offering which includes Epic practice management and clinical systems as well as HIE applications.
Effectively communicates the vision of LPCH for developing these services and capabilities to support growth and outreach business initiatives.
Ensures all EHR applications are supported according to defined service levels.
Ensures both foundation and community physicians have a high level of customer satisfaction for services and products provided.
Ensures routine surveys are conducted to monitor customer satisfaction and oversees performance improvement plans on an ongoing basis.
Keeps abreast of new developments, and forecasts future trends in the areas of IT portfolio management. Maintains a strong understanding of technology and its application to achieve medical and business objectives.
Performs all functions normally associated with role of Operations Executive for running a successful business enterprise including profit and loss reporting.
Plans and directs various internal and external IT governance functions in the leadership and management of EHR services.
Prepares analysis and or proposals for other enterprise departments when necessary. Fills IT senior management roles in times of personnel shortage. Serves as an internal consultant to other IT management staff, and operations community as needed.
Responsible for all product and purchased services delivery for EHR services referenced above.
Works closely with all other IT management personnel in identifying, evaluating, and selecting specific information technology which support the business plans and IT strategic direction. Reviews the status of all departmental major projects which are undertaken by the IT service delivery team as requested by the department management.
Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization and as a spokesperson for the hospital.

The Director of Ambulatory Applications & MyChart Services is responsible for delivering EHR services to the University HealthCare Alliance, community physicians, referring physicians through the Prism portal, and patients through the MyHealth portal. The Director is also responsible for all other components related the Health Information Exchange (HIE) strategy and deployment for Lucile Packard Childrens Hospital (LPCH). This position spans planning and delivery components necessary to ensure the successful implementation of EHR capabilities to providers, patients, and LPCH information exchange associated with a broad continuum of health care organizations. Primary accountability extends through the planning and project delivery phases of implementing new capabilities, and becomes secondary at the point of day-to-day support and maintenance of existing systems. This position is accountable for the development of and directs the overall enterprise direction for these strategic, growth oriented portfolio areas including approaches, philosophies, integration, and standards for these applications. This role will be the key strategist and architect for these programs and applications including the integration of other non-Epic applications.

Minimum Qualifications
Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities as well as possession of any required licenses or certifications is qualifying.
Education: Bachelor's degree in a work-related discipline/field from an accredited college or university.
Experience: Seven (7) Years of progressively responsible and directly related work experience.

Pay Range
Compensation is based on the level and requirements of the role.
Salary within our ranges may also be determined by your education, experience, knowledge, skills, location, and abilities, as required by the role, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
Typically, new team members join at the minimum to mid salary range.
Minimum to Midpoint Range (1.0 FTE): $228,134.40 to $302,504.80
