      Description

      Position Summary:

      Pomeroy is seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Employee Benefits and Total Rewards to lead the design, implementation, and administration of comprehensive compensation and benefits programs. This role will ensure that our total rewards offerings are competitive, cost-effective, compliant, and aligned with Pomeroy’s mission to attract, motivate, and retain top talent in a fast-paced, client-focused IT services environment. As Director of Employee Benefits and Total Rewards, you'll play a key role in shaping how we care for and reward our people—the foundation of our success.

      Key Responsibilities:

      • Total Rewards Strategy: Develop and execute a total rewards strategy that supports Pomeroy’s business objectives and talent strategy.
      • Benefits Administration: Oversee the design, administration, and vendor management of health and welfare benefits, retirement plans, wellness programs, and leave policies.
      • Compensation: Lead the design and governance of base and variable pay programs, job evaluations, market pricing, salary structures, annual merit and incentive processes, and compensation compliance.
      • Compliance & Reporting: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations related to compensation and benefits (e.g., ERISA, ACA, FLSA, HIPAA). Manage audits and filings, including 5500s and nondiscrimination testing.
      • Employee Experience: Provide strategic oversight of employee communication strategies for benefits and compensation to enhance understanding, satisfaction, and engagement.
      • Analytics & Insights: Develop and maintain KPIs and reporting tools to evaluate the effectiveness and competitiveness of rewards programs.
      • Leadership & Collaboration: Lead and collaborate with Finance, Legal, Talent Acquisition, HR Business Partners, and Executive Leadership to align total rewards with organizational goals.

      Qualifications:

      • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
      • 8–10+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role focused on benefits and compensation.
      • Expertise in benefits design, compensation strategy, compliance, and HRIS systems.
      • Experience working in a fast-paced, multi-state, or global organization; IT services industry experience is a plus.
      • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
      • Excellent communication, business acumen, and interpersonal skills with a consultative approach.
      • Experience with Oracle Fusion and/or ADP WorkforceNow is a plus.

Incumbent must maintain composure in a fast paced, high quality environment where personal and team accountabilities are the defining factors.

      General office environment

      Work is generally sedentary in nature, but may require standing and walking for up to 10% of the time. Work is generally performed within an office environment, with standard office equipment available.
