- Develop and execute an enterprise architecture strategy aligned with Emory Healthcare's overall business objectives.
- Define and communicate the vision for enterprise architecture to ensure alignment with digital transformation goals.
- Lead a team of architects to design, implement, architecture standards, methodologies ensuring adoption of best practices and industry standards.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to assess current technology architecture and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Create and maintain a comprehensive technology roadmap that supports business growth and innovation.
- Lead a team of skilled architects and foster a collaborative and innovative work culture.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful integration of technology solutions across Emory Healthcare.
- Responsible for maintaining enterprise capability model structure as well as evaluate and lead application rationalization efforts across the enterprise.
- Establish and enforce enterprise architecture standards, policies, and procedures.
- Advise on enterprise architecture landscape, including technology, information, data, security and integration.
- Provide guidance on technology governance to ensure compliance with industry best practices.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends to recommend innovative solutions that drive business value.
- Evaluate the feasibility of adopting new technologies and guide decision-making processes.
- Foster strong cross-functional collaboration with IT teams, clinical staff, and business units to ensure the effective implementation of healthcare enterprise architecture initiatives.
- Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and provide guidance on technology-related decisions.
- Develop and maintain the healthcare enterprise architecture strategy, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and industry best practices.
- A bachelor's degree in an appropriate field and 10 years of relevant IT experience is required.
- A master's degree is preferred.
- Proven experience in providing leadership to information services teams including the use of various technologies to solve business problems, project planning and management techniques, budget planning and management, and the management of strategic customer and vendor relationships.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with a track record of successfully leading architecture teams in complex healthcare environments.
- In-depth knowledge of healthcare regulations, standards, and security requirements (e.g., HIPAA, HITECH).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to align technology initiatives with business objectives.
Overview
The incumbent will play a pivotal role in shaping and optimizing the organization's technological infrastructure within the healthcare domain. This leadership position requires a seasoned professional with a deep understanding of healthcare IT systems, enterprise architecture principles, and a strategic mindset to drive innovation and efficiency in our healthcare delivery processes. In this strategic role, the successful candidate will be responsible for shaping and implementing the enterprise architecture strategy and technology assessment and intake methodologies to support Emory Healthcare's digital transformation initiatives reporting directly to the Chief Technology Officer. The Enterprise Architecture leader and team will enable the organization to cut unnecessary technology expenses through application rationalization and determine the future and current business requirements to boost organizational performance. The EA will be responsible for all levels of architecture design and development and is expected to be well versed with domain principles of the business.

Director, Enterprise Architecture Salary: $57.34/hr - $95.56/hr
The grade and salary of the position are based on specific criteria met within the qualifications of relevant experience, skills, performance and internal equity.
