- Leverage and expand data science/advanced analytics capabilities to cultivate a culture of performance marketing and further develop our analytics sophistication.
- Conduct pan-BSC analysis and benchmarking for the organization's digital marketing efforts.
- Lead the global marketing upskilling strategy and implement processes, tools, best practices, and training to enhance the skills of BSC’s global marketers, with a focus on digital skill development.
- Manage BSC’s global marketing competencies and the global learning and development platform, BSCMarketingU.
- Conduct hands-on training and workshops to enhance skills and demonstrate exemplary practices to marketers (e.g., value proposition, customer insights).
- Partner with business units and regions to answer key strategic questions and build comprehensive, measurable marketing plans.
- Support strategic marketing initiatives and workshops (e.g., customer journey mapping, war-gaming).
- Identify and share economic customer insights via primary research (quantitative and qualitative).
- Benchmark, track, and communicate key competitors' activity and performance.
- Drive the evolution of the corporate marketing operating model and strategy to support BSC’s expected growth.
- Lead Corporate Marketing’s 3-year strategic plan and annual operating plan (process and output).
- Facilitate engaging quarterly Marketing Executive Board and Global Marketing Leadership meetings.
- Prioritize key business needs/projects; proactively identify new areas of value or opportunity.
- Lead initiatives and investment cases at the corporate level and/or within business units and regions that contribute to commercial impact and/or efficiency improvements.
- Minimum of a bachelor's degree.
- 10+ years of marketing and/or strategy experience in medical device, biotech, and/or pharmaceutical industries.
- 5+ years of demonstrated inclusive leadership experience managing a team of direct reports and/or leading project teams.
- 5+ years of experience in effectively navigating virtual, matrixed organizations across diverse global regions, showcasing a strong capacity for cultural inclusivity and collaboration.
- Ability to travel up to 20% as needed (domestic and international).
- MBA or other advanced degree.
- Demonstrated expertise in the development and implementation of structured, practical, fact-based approaches to business problems.
- Strong relationship development, collaboration, influence and change management experience.
- Proven analytical mindset, problem solving skills, and solution-oriented mentality.

About the Role:
The Director, Enterprise Marketing Strategy holds a pivotal role at Boston Scientific, reporting directly to the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO). Bringing expertise in life sciences marketing and strategy, the ideal candidate possesses a data-driven mindset, ability to drive change, and exceptional people leadership skills.
This role is responsible for helping develop and incubate enhanced marketing capabilities aimed at transforming Boston Scientific’s (BSC) global marketing organization. The Enterprise Marketing Strategy Director oversees sub-teams, including marketing analytics, marketing capabilities, and marketing planning.
In addition to overseeing the teams, this role plays a crucial part in unifying corporate, business unit, and regional marketing teams, fostering cohesion and collaboration.
