      What You Will Do:

      Director Ethics Compliance & Privacy is responsible for promoting the highest standards of ethical behavior and conduct related to corporate compliance and patient privacy (HIPAA). The Director will work closely with the Chief Legal & Compliance Officer to shape the vision, strategy, and execution of the ethics, compliance and privacy programs at Valley Health. The Director will manage the day-to-day operations of Valley Health's compliance and privacy programs. The Director will collaborate and consult with various departments to successfully identify and mitigate compliance and privacy risks. This position carries with it the responsibility of keeping the Audit Risk & Compliance Committee of the Valley Health Board of Trustees informed on numerous key compliance related issues.
      This position requires an individual who is self-motivated, goal oriented and flexible to frequently shifting priorities. The Director is frequently required to provide immediate response/assistance to the organization and its staff. In addition, the Director will report to the Audit Risk & Compliance Committee on a quarterly basis regarding the activities of the Corporate Compliance Program. As a result, excellent oral and written communication skills are an absolute necessity for this position.
      General Summary of Duties:
      Manages the day-to-day operations of the compliance and privacy programs to achieve high levels of compliance with all applicable laws and regulations while supporting the vision and mission of the organization. Serve as a resource for Medicare/Medicaid reimbursement information, federal and state laws on patient privacy, and fraud and abuse laws. Maintains compliance with the Valley Health’s Code of Ethics, applicable Federal and State rules and regulations and applicable Valley Health policies and procedures. Coordinates compliance training, maintains compliance policies, and monitors/reports results of compliance/ethics efforts. Oversee the Integrity & Ethics Hotline. Management of the Conflict of Interest program.

      What You Will Bring:

      Education

      Bachelors Business, Healthcare Administration or related field required
      Masters degree preferred.

      Experience
      Experience with healthcare regulations, compliance, internal audit, accounting or law required.

      Qualifications
      Knowledge and understanding in the area of developing, implementing, and managing policies and procedures to ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
      Proficient in MS Word with familiarity of Excel and PowerPoint required.
      Excellent attention to detail skills
      Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
