      Position Purpose:

      Directs all logistics execution including strategy, cost control, sales, people development and support for the stores to increase supply chain effectiveness for a specific area in Logistics.


      Key Responsibilities:
      • Designs initiatives and develops strategies to increase the effectiveness of the logistics function.
      • Reviews financial performance, safety issues, morale issues and service- and inventory levels to ensure optimal functioning of the Logistics function.
      • Alleviates store problems related to the specific area in Logistics.
      • Selects, develops and motivates assigned staff. Oversees all tactical operations of DC's and/or Logistic efforts related to a specifica area in Logistics.
      • Liason between Divisions, Field Ops, Logistics and Store Ops and SSC Logistics.

      Direct Manager/Direct Reports:
      • Reports to a VP in Logistics function.
      • Direct reports include one or more Sr Logistics Manager or Logistics Manager level associates and Administrative Assistants.
      • Typically negotiates in a competitive or adversarial environment.
      • Typically faces complex issues that differ from those typically faced within the industry or profession.
      • Typically solves problems by considering courses of action within the framework of management' s goals and standards.
      • Typically expected to provide infrequent status reports to management only as appropriate.

      Travel Requirements:
      • Typically requires overnight travel more than 50% of the time.

      Physical Requirements:
      • Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

      Working Conditions:
      • Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
      • Under constant pressure to continuously meet tight deadlines, demanding quotas and/or must regularly deal with difficult situations.

      Minimum Qualifications:
      • Must be eighteen years of age or older.
      • Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
      • Must be eighteen years of age or older
      • Must pass the drug test
      • Must successfully complete any required training or orientation courses

      Preferred Qualifications:
      • A Bachelor' s degree in Industrial Engineering, Logistics, Transportation or related field is preferred.
      • Expertise and experience in the specific area of Logistics assigned to.

      Minimum Education:
      • The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.

      The pay range for this position is between $140,000 - $290,000
