- Oversee the analysis and review of financial results on a monthly and quarterly basis, identify trends, and provide insights to senior management.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas of improvement, including revenue enhancement strategies and cost-saving opportunities.
- Coordinate and facilitate the annual budgeting and forecasting process by working closely with the broader FP&A team and executives across The Trade Desk
- Create presentations for Board of Directors ’ meetings, investor presentations, and other C-level meetings.
- Manage all stages of strategic finance projects from defining a problem statement and collaborating with teams across the organization to gather data, to modeling research findings and crafting strategic recommendations.
- Lead, develop, and train a team of managers and analysts, fostering a high-performance culture and allocating resources effectively.
- Develop comprehensive cash flow and balance sheet models to assess liquidity, financial health, and optimize capital allocation strategies.
- Assist the Investor Relations team with a range of activities, as needed
- Prepare materials summarizing key findings and deliver clear and concise presentations to executives and senior business personnel
- Identify key performance metrics and design reports and dashboards to track insights and drive operating decisions
- Perform ad-hoc analyses to support executive decision making
- Continuously take on additional responsibility to improve processes, reporting and procedures, and assist the broader team as needed
- BA/BS degree in finance, accounting, economics, or an applicable field; MBA from a top-tier institution or equivalent experience preferred
- 12+ years of experience ideally with a combination of FP&A and corporate finance/strategy, investment banking, or management consulting
- Demonstrated prior management experience, leading and developing teams of managers and analysts, fostering a high-performance culture, and driving successful outcomes.
- Experience in digital media, internet or data companies preferred
- Strong understanding of corporate finance and accounting concepts
- Proven track record of building financial models and ad hoc analyses to distill complex problems into digestible insights
- Excellent communicator (both written and verbal) with experience in building relationships across teams, presenting insights and recommendations to senior management and business leaders
- Tenacity to develop ideas independently and strong business sense, with the ability to understand changing industry forces and focus on relevant KPIs
- Experience with or interest in learning database (SQL, Vertica), data visualization (Tableau), and financial planning software (Oracle)
- Ability to thrive in a high growth and entrepreneurial environment where strong project management skills and ability to juggle multiple priorities are a must
- High personal and professional integrity with can-do attitude to dig into anything and everything to support the business

The Financial Planning & Analysis team plays a critical role in analyzing and implementing The Trade Desk’s financial and strategic initiatives. The Director of Corporate FP&A will report to the VP of FP&A and lead the Strategic Finance and Special Projects team to assist in modeling, analysis, project management and presentation of critical company operating data. We are looking for a self-starter who not only possesses brilliant analytical skills but also communicates findings confidently and articulately to a wide variety of stakeholders.

At the Trade Desk, Base Salary is one part of our competitive total compensation and benefits package and is determined using a salary range. The base salary range for this role is
$133,700 -$245,100In accordance with NY, CO, CA, and WA law, the range provided is The Trade Desk's reasonable estimate of the base compensation for this role. The actual amount may differ based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and location. All employees may be eligible to become The Trade Desk shareholders through eligibility for stock-based compensation grants, which are awarded to employees based on company and individual performance. The Trade Desk also offers other compensation depending on the role such as sales-based incentives and commissions. Plus, expected benefits for this role include comprehensive healthcare (medical, dental, and vision) with premiums paid in full for employees and dependents, retirement benefits such as a 401k plan and company match, short and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, well-being benefits, reimbursement for certain tuition expenses, parental leave, sick time of 1 hour per 30 hours worked, vacation time for full time employees up to 120 hours thru the first year and 160 hours thereafter, and around 13 paid holidays per year.
