- Driving strategic projects for Global Account Payable including control assessments and audit practices.
- Leading and managing testing of new system upgrades, changes, and enhancements.
- Partnering with other business units to address their technological business needs in relation to Accounts Payable.
- Supporting internal procurement systems like Ariba and Fieldglass to streamline processes.
- Lead and oversee launch of SAP and Accounts Payable in other AIG countries or newly acquired entities.
- Performance management of direct staff regarding pay, employment and staffing of the function.
- Serve as a liaison between GS&PS and the local / regional leadership teams to ensure appropriate BCP procedures and policies are developed and executed.
- Manage the Accounts Payable initiatives, partnering with GS&PS, Finance and other functions to ensure alignment delivering quality results in a timely manner and targets are met.
- Evaluate and recommend changes in processing methods and procedures; develop, recommend, and implement new procedures to improve unit operations for long-run efficiencies and goals.
- Adopt project management processes, tracking and reporting, maintenance the required project artifacts status reporting, change control, etc.
- Maintain a robust audit trail and archive project documentation in alignment with AIGs policy and processes.
- Excellent relationship management skills and ability to work with all levels of management.
- Strong executive level presentation skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, persuasion, and the ability to communicate concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Must be a critical thinker with strong problem-solving and project management skills.
- Experience working in a high paced environment with a high degree of ambiguity.
- Ability to handle multiple project teams, effectively manage multiple priorities and drive complete deals within defined timelines.
- Strong work ethic with the desire to exceed expectations.
- Self-motivated and must possess the knowledge, experience and discipline to work successfully and independently in an environment where the candidate's manager, peers and business partners are based in multiple office locations.
- Ability to drive change management initiatives; review current processes and automate the manual processes.
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent strongly preferred.
- Accounting or Finance background preferred.
- 10+ years extensive background in SAP for Accounts Payable / Procurement / Finance and Accounting.
- ERP systems implementation knowledge required.
- SAP working knowledge (invoice processing, vendor creation and vendor tables maintenance, reporting)
- Knowledge of Procurement systems – Ariba, Fieldglass and Concur.
- Experience with SAP ECC and S4HANA is a plus.
- Experience with Global projects.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Finance, banking, accounting, and business skills.
- Project Management required with Six Sigma preferred.
- Interface Implementation and maintenance experience preferred.
- Training end-users on new processes preferred.

AIG is looking for a Global Accounts Payable Director with strategic experience in SAP leading complex system integrations and implementing transformational programs supporting best in class operations. This role will be heavily engaged in leading initiatives associated with Global AP / Global Sourcing & Procurement Service’s strategic objectives as well as driving continuous improvement to the organization.
The Ideal candidate will be required to collaborate across global internal stakeholders / third party suppliers and will be leveraged to manage issue resolution. The candidate should be an avid learner who wants to invest in their career, proactive in strategic mindset challenging status quo, and a track record with delivering results including timely and quality execution of projects. This role will be critical with leading the following responsibilities:
What you’ll need to succeed
You’ll need to be a self-starter with a minimum of 10+ years extensive background in SAP for Accounts Payable / Procurement / Finance and Accounting. This role will require someone who has experience in leading Accounts Payable systems and processes in their company and understands the concepts well. The candidate must be able to work independently, or in a team environment and be willing and able to make business/ strategic decisions. This will include:

For positions based in NYC, the base salary range is $148,000.00 - $185,000.00. For positions based in Jersey City, NJ, the base salary range is $123,000.00 - $163,000.00. In addition, the position is eligible for a bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable incentive plan.
