      Job Description

      The Director, GTM Finance & Strategy will be the trusted advisor driving our retention and pricing strategy. In this role, you will own forecasting, reporting and analytics on Zendesk’s Annual Recurring Revenue and Gross Retention Rate. You will drive strategic insights and financial modeling for Zendesk’s pricing and packaging. You will be a key leader on the Finance & Strategy team, managing and mentoring a team of finance & strategy professionals.

      Responsibilities:

      • Lead/manage a growing team of global F&S talent - developing talent is a top priority

      • Lead, build and maintain financial models and reporting on Zendesk’s Annual Recurring Revenue, Gross Retention Rate, pipeline and pricing

      • Forge relationships with leaders across our GTM and finance organizations to support our teams’ role as trusted advisors to the business, and to accelerate the velocity of cross functional projects.

      • Drive long range and annual planning for ARR, GRR and NRR

      • Pioneer business insight and strategic analysis for new and emerging GTM business challenges.

      • Implement improvements & automation to streamline current processes and enhance the accuracy and depth of our forecasts, analytics and reporting

      Qualifications

      In order to be successful in this role, we need someone who has:

      • 8+ years of relevant finance, investment banking, consulting, private equity, sales strategy, or pricing experience

      • 2+ years experience in leading and managing teams

      • Deep experience with financial modeling and analytics for SaaS renewals and/or pricing

      • Strong storytelling skills and executive presence. You know how to clearly and succinctly speak to c-suite level executives.

      • Positive attitude with high aptitude to learn new things quickly. Team player eager to further develop and grow with us

      • Ability to be flexible and agile - we are fast moving at Zendesk

      • Demonstrate intellectual curiosity, problem-solving skills, and hunger to continually up-level current approaches and processes

      • Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail - “get it done” attitude

      • Highly adept skills in Excel & Google Sheets. Working knowledge of SQL, Salesforce, Xactly, Adaptive a plus

      The US annualized base salary range for this position is $158,000.00-$236,000.00. This position may also be eligible for bonus, benefits, or related incentives. While this range reflects the minimum and maximum value for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations, the offer for the successful candidate for this position will be based on job related capabilities, applicable experience, and other factors such as work location. Please note that the compensation details listed in US role postings reflect the base salary only (or OTE for commissions based roles), and do not include bonus, benefits, or related incentives.
