      Under the direction of the Vice President Support Services or a designee and in collaboration with the Chief Nursing Officer, The Director Guest Services leads, plans, organizes, and coordinates the activities of the Guest Services, Internal Transportation, and Volunteer Services departments to ensure exceptional service is provided to the organization’s visitors, patients, and community. The Director Guest Services implements plans to develop and grow the volunteer program, focusing on supporting critical organizational program needs and community initiatives. You will be responsible for planning, organizing, coordinating, and directing the operations and activities around safe patient movement and correct handling of specimens and other non-patient transports. The Director Guest Services develops and administers policies and procedures to support efficient, high-quality operations and manages within established budget and productivity parameters. These activities shall be performed to uphold the Mission, Vision, and Values of Valleywise Health across all service sites.

      Annual Salary Range: $86,444.80 - $127,504.00
      Qualifications
      Education:
      • Requires a bachelor’s degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of training and progressively responsible experience that will result in the required specialized knowledge and abilities to perform the assigned work.
      • Internal candidates who meet job functions and are willing to work towards obtaining a bachelor’s degree within 3 years will also be considered.
      Experience:
      • Must have a minimum of seven (7) years of progressively responsible healthcare customer service, internal transport, and/or volunteer-related experience that demonstrates a strong understanding of the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
      • Requires prior leadership experience, preferably in a healthcare setting.
      Specialized Training:
      • Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt or higher preferred.
      Certification/Licensure:
      • Requires BLS to be issued by the American Heart Association.
      • Must have a valid fingerprint clearance card issued by the Arizona Department of Public Safety or submit a completed Affidavit at the time of hire. Must complete fingerprint clearance card application within seven (7) days of hire date. Must present actual card within ninety (90) days of applying for a fingerprint clearance card.
      Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
      • Must understand volunteer principles.
      • Must have excellent written and oral communication skills.
      • Must be able to supervise and coordinate the work of subordinate personnel in a manner conducive to full performance and high morale.
      • Must be approachable, people-oriented, and a good listener.
      • Must be able to communicate effectively and have excellent customer service skills.
      • Must be a change agent able to develop, implement, and maintain policies and processes.
      • Requires being a creative, independent thinker and working independently with limited supervision.
      • Must exhibit professionalism, customer service, enthusiasm, and the ability to build relationships with business and key stakeholders.
      • Must possess solid analytical and problem-solving skills and utilize the appropriate management techniques to plan, organize, control, and coordinate activities.
      • Must have the ability to work with culturally diverse people.
      • Requires the ability to read, write, and speak effectively in English.
      • Bilingual preferred.
