      ABOUT THE FLOCK

      Responsible for the oversight of Bluebird bio’s IT Infrastructure Operations, security, and corporate compliance. Functional responsibilities include but are not limited to infrastructure operations and maintenance, security defense and response, and compliance with IT controls for Sarbanes Oxley and maturing privacy regulations. Assure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of infrastructure, network, and desktop systems. Responsible for the policies and procedures governing IT operations, and IT Security and response.

      HOW YOU’LL FLY

      You’ll help to bring more patients their bluebird days by:

      • Being responsible for the monitoring, compliance, and defense of the corporate network and related IT infrastructure (compute and storage), including all corporate applications, servers, routers, and firewalls.
      • Serving as expert across IT Operations & security functional areas, including credential management, access provisioning, authentication and authorization, application security, infrastructure security, data security, monitoring, and incident response.
      • Implementing technologies to ensure the availability, integrity, and confidentiality of all IT related systems. Responsible for the writing of IT policies and procedures for the compliance with regulations and legislation.
      • Being responsible for coordinating and remediating regular IT Infrastructure, Corp. Compliance & security assessments on bbb’s information security posture and compliance.
      • Managing IT Operations, compliance & security incidents during all phased of incident response.

      WHAT YOU’LL BRING

      You’re the bird we’re looking for if you have:

      • BS/BA in computer science, engineering, or relevant field; MS/MA will be preferred with minimum 10 years of IT and or leadership experience
      • Demonstrated expertise in overseeing controlled computer system environments supporting corporate audit and or regulatory inspection readiness, data integrity controls.
      • Strong understanding and/or working experience in supporting Sarbanes-Oxley, Data Privacy, Cyber Security, and related control frameworks (NIST, ISO, etc.)
      • Understanding of and experience in biotech/pharma industry and related business operations
      • Excellent organizational and leadership skills with demonstrated strength for problem-solving

      Compensation & Benefits

      We offer a total compensation and rewards package that ranks among the best in our industry. Base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The anticipated annualized salary range for this role is $180,000-$225,000. Your base pay will be determined based on several factors including market data, demonstrated skills, relevant education or training, experience, qualifications, internal equity, and travel requirements. Our overall package also includes eligibility for stock, incentive bonuses, and benefit programs, a flexible time off program, as well as paid holidays, bluebird days, and a holiday shutdown in December.
