  Director / Head of Strategy Thales Deutschland (f/m/d)

  Located at our HQ in Ditzingen

  Your mission

  • Manage and lead the Strategy team of Thales Germany as part of the Executive Committee within the German County organization

  • Define Thales Germany Country strategy and contribute to the overall Strategic Business Plan process of Thales Group

  • Support Corporate and Business Units/Lines in defining and executing their in-country strategies in line with the overall Thales Germany's strategy

  • Assess the opportunity for greater pull-through of Group products to the country of destination in coordination with the Business Units/Lines

  • Collaborate with sales, marketing and account teams in order to align Thales Germany's strategy with the long-term goals of our customers

  • Gather insights on local market dynamics, opportunities & competitive environment, needs and expectations to further grow the pipeline

  • Contribute to the Group M&A strategy execution through target identification, participation in the development of acquisition rationale, and integration of the target into Thales

  • Assess the business potential of new partnership opportunities and manage relationship and related business development efforts

  • Develop the strategic narrative that demonstrates the economic and social value of Thales to the local economy to maximizes exploitation of opportunities for local investment funding (CFRD)

  We are looking forward to

  • Solid experience in global strategy development and the orchestration of the strategic planning process

  • Strong experience and background in the defence and security as well as space and aerospace market and in the collaboration with German Armed Forces and respective industry

  • In-depth expertise and hands-on experience in leading and participating Mergers and Acquisitions processes

  • Profound ability to drive a customer centric mindset shift

  • Strong leadership skills and mind-set in order to federate a global team around a common project and objective

  • Data driven way of working with ability to take or recommend decisions based on strategy methodologies such as 80/20 analysis

  • Politically aware and able to work sensitively where necessary

  • Able to achieve results through networking and influencing as well as by more direct means

  • Strong listening and communication skills combined with a service and team-centric attitude with both internal and external stakeholders
