Evaluate applicants for admission and oversee the file review activities of the Recruitment team. Facilitate Recruitment's contributions to the scholarship award process.
Hire, train, supervise and evaluate a staff of 8 direct reports who manage recruitment territories. Manage daily recruitment operations of the Houston Admissions Center. In consultation with the Director of Recruitment, oversee the planning/design of programs, activities, events, budgeting, purchasing, monitoring performance, reporting and assessment for all activities.
Implement, direct, coordinate and assist in the assessment activities of the Houston Admissions Center recruitment team. Review territory, program, event, prospect and service metric assessments from staff; synthesize, produce and distribute macro assessments to senior staff and other campus stakeholders.
Represent the university and support regional outreach by traveling to recruitment events, panels, meetings and other functions in the area. Drive a personal vehicle, rental car or university vehicle.
Set strategic, data-driven priorities to meet recruitment goals. Develop and implement office-wide and regional recruitment priorities, assign to staff members for implementation. Assign recruitment caseloads (including regions, high schools, community colleges, etc.) to recruitment staff. Supervise staff recruitment activities, including utilization of technological solutions, programming, visits and correspondence with prospective students and counselors.
Support university recruitment objectives by cultivating relationships with high school and community college counseling staff, community leaders and university alumni. Collaborate with university academic units to support strategic outreach and recruitment activities.
Use the university's customer relationship management (CRM) system, data, and enrollment analytics tools to conduct ongoing quantitative and qualitative analysis of recruitment, admissions and enrollment data. Synthesize findings to generate reports, strategic policy, and produce suggestions for the Director of Recruitment and other senior admissions staff.

Purpose
The Office of Admissions at The University of Texas at Austin seeks a dynamic recruitment professional to lead strategic and innovative recruitment in Houston. We are specifically looking for a partner who will build, stretch, and grow partnerships and outreach in the region, mentor staff, manage a small recruitment territory, and work with recruitment partners on and off campus.

Required Qualifications
3-4 years of experience in college admissions and recruitment, earned a Master's Degree in Higher Education, School Counseling, or equivalent from a regionally accredited college or university. Experience working with sensitive and confidential data and documents. Demonstrated success in collaborating with others in a team environment. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple overlapping projects. Demonstrated excellent written and verbal interpersonal communication skills and professional demeanor. Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced work environment under the pressure of deadlines. Ability to work on-site and remotely as needed.
Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working in a competitive admissions environment, bilingual in Spanish and English, connections and network with school counselors in the greater Houston area.
Driving Required
This job requires a class "C" operator's driver's license. The applicant selected must provide a current three year driving record from the current state of residence. If not currently a Texas resident, a Texas driver's license must be obtained within 30 days of becoming a Texas resident. Employees who are required to have a CDL are subject to drug and alcohol testing (pre-employment, post-accident, reasonable suspicion, random, return-to-duty, and follow-up drug and alcohol testing).
Salary Range
$65,000-$75,000; dependent on qualifications
