      Overview

      Job Summary

      The Director, HR Field Operations is responsible for managing and developing a dynamic high performing strategic team of Human Resources Business Partners. This role also serves as a partner to provide strategic, operational human resource consulting support to the Perimeter Department VPs and other senior field leaders as needed.

      This role partners with field leadership and HR Center of Excellence (COE) directors in the design and execution of field people strategies to drive operational excellence and develop a high performing talent bench based on metrics, analytics and talent capabilities. This position requires senior level leadership, problem solving, strategic thinking, team building, change management/influencing skills and thought leadership in human resources.

      Essential Duties and Responsibilities

      • Manages and oversees a direct reporting team of Human Resources Business Partners that work together to build culture, provide organizational support and drive outcomes to ensure consistency of all HR programs. Ensures goals and initiatives are integrated and effectively being executed in all regions while supporting the overall mission, and objectives of the company.
      • Partners with field leadership and HR COE’s on any programs or initiatives affecting field employees and leads field focused change management and communication efforts
      • Assists field leadership with organizational effectiveness efforts
      • Partners with field leadership and HR COE’s to provide effective engagement and retention strategies for field employees with emphasis on building and retaining a highly qualified, diverse workforce with a strong work ethic and personal accountability
      • Facilitates Succession/Bench Planning review sessions with Perimeter Department VPs to identify future bench, gaps in talent base, and at risk performers. Collaborates with senior business leaders on their staff development plans and succession/bench planning decisions & needs for key talent performance
      • Partners with field leadership and HR COE’s to oversee the ongoing review of positive company culture and community efforts
      • Plans and organizes department meetings and ongoing developmental initiatives for Human Resources Business Partners to elevate skill and competencies capabilities
      • Maintains knowledge of new trends best practices, regulatory changes, and technologies in human resources
      • Performs other duties as needed while fostering a workplace environment consistent with the purpose and values outlined by the company.

      Qualifications

      Education

      • Bachelor’s Degree in the field of Business, Human Resources Management, Strategic Leadership, Organizational Behavior or related field

      Requirements

      • 8 or more years of broad-based, progressively responsible human resources management experience, which is to include 5 years’ experience in advising and consulting senior-level management.
      • Demonstrated success in leading change in large, complex organizations.
      • Well versed in designing, collaborating, and implementing change management leadership for culture change and organizational effectiveness initiatives
      • Demonstrated success in translating collaborative strategic plans into programs and measurable outcomes
      • Demonstrated success in facilitating and delivering talent management & development initiatives for senior leadership
      • Business Acumen to effectively identify data trends that impact HR and Operations

      Travel

      • Travel up to 50% of the time as business needs dictate.

      Preferred Education, Experience and/or Credentials:

      • Grocery/ Retail industry experience
      • MBA or Master Degree in applicable field
      • HR related professional certifications or designation desirable
