      About the Role

      In this opportunity as Director, HRBP you will:

      Business Partnering & Support

      • Develops the people strategy for the business unit ensuring alignment with business objectives, and the long term strategic vision of the organization.
      • Participates as an integral member of the business unit management team and is able to credibly provide insights to the business to help inform strategic decisions.
      • Acts as a solutioning partner and architect with the business line lead in all areas concerning the growth strategy of the business, undertaking strategic projects where necessary in addition to the general partnering support required

      Functional Leadership & Support

      • Provides strong leadership and direction on key functional areas including Reward, Talent and OD for the business unit being supported.
      • Partners effectively with specialist groups (e.g. Talent, Reward, OD) to develop, deliver and promote initiatives in line with the business needs and to deliver against the strategic agenda developed at Corporate level for pan Thomson Reuters.
      • Proactively identifies key opportunities to further strengthen and build the talent pool within the business unit and continuously identifes opportunities to flow key talent cross-functionally.
      • Uses metrics and analytics regularly to help drive/steer management decisions, e.g understanding the global footprint of the function, understanding the talent alignment and resource allocation for the function, driving strategic workforce planning using predictive analytics and scenario modelling for the function.
      • Manages the delivery and execution of core HR processes and policies per the business cycle as required, e.g. salary/compensation reviews, talent reviews etc.
      • Partners effectively with other specialist groups such as Employee Relations, Global Mobility etc. for any day to day issues faced by the customer.

      Leading a Change & Growth Agenda

      • Works with the HR and business leadership team to identify organizational development improvements, particularly around culture change during periods of major transition and transformation within the organization.
      • Typically manages large scale change and transformation programs which can range across technology, process, service delivery through to mass redundancy and restructures for the SBU/Function.
      • Provides consulting and advisory services to any projects within the SBU where there is an identified need from a people strategy perspective.
      • Drives all efforts around increasing employee engagement within the function (including execution of the employee engagement survey through to action planning and evaluation of effectiveness). Understands the link between employee engagement and performance and is able to draw these correlations to provide actionable insight to the line

      Industry Leadership

      • Regularly attends external events to promote Thomson Reuters HR and stays current on latest trends and external context (both commercial and HR specific) that would be prevalent to Thomson Reuters People Strategy.
      • Develops professional network both internally and externally and develops own profile to help identify best practices for the function (both commercially and for HR).

      About You

      You are a fit for the role of Director, HRBP if your background includes:

      • Bachelor’s degree in business, human resources or related field
      • Background experience as HRBP of technology area / companies
      • Deep knowledge of a broad range of HR policies, processes and core HR related topics impacting the employee life cycle
      • Understands the “Agility” operating philosophy of ways of working
      • Strong analytical, reporting and presentation skills, with high attention to detail and accuracy, as well as demonstrated ability to confidently make recommendations to senior leaders for improved employee relations results based on data and findings
      • Outstanding interpersonal, mentoring and communication skills
      • Serve as a trusted advisor to employees and stakeholders, providing daily support across various internal processes
      • Experience in addressing employee relations matters for a variety of departments, roles and job levels
      • English Advanced to Fluent and desirable Spanish
