      The Director, Information Technology – Enterprise Applications develops and executes technology strategies that align with business goals, overseeing the information technology (IT) department and driving innovation through new technologies and process improvements. Key responsibilities include managing the implementation and optimization of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems (e.g., SAP S/4 HANA, Oracle JDE), ensuring secure and efficient systems across all company sites. The Director, IT – Enterprise Applications collaborates with cross-functional teams to support business needs, manages IT budgets, and ensures compliance with company policies and industry standards. The position leads and mentors a team of professionals, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented environment.

      Essential Duties and Responsibilities

      • Develop and implement technology strategies and roadmaps that support the overall business goals and objectives. Identify areas for improvement in existing processes and systems and develop and drive plans to implement new technologies and techniques.
      • Lead the ongoing enhancement and adoption of an advanced ERP system (e.g., SAP S/4 HANA , Oracle JDE, Oracle Fusion). Continuously seek out new ways to leverage the solution to improve operational performance.
      • Lead the IT department and ensure technology systems are secure, reliable, and efficient.
      • Oversee the deployment of new technology systems and upgrades to existing systems. Support creation of shared service structure and technology integration of fragmented environments.
      • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including operations, quality, sales, and supply chain, to ensure technology initiatives align with business needs and goals. Foster an environment of collaboration and cooperation to drive innovation and progress.
      • Manage financial aspects of IT, including purchasing, budgeting, and budget review.
      • Develop and implement all IT policies and procedures, including those for architecture, security, disaster recovery, standards, purchasing, and service provision.
      • Ensure that the organization is current and compliant with technology platforms.
      • Travel (30%) to SCN BestCo sites in US & Canada.

      People Leader Responsibilities

      This position carries out people leader responsibilities in accordance with the Company’s policies and applicable laws.

      Responsibilities include:

      • Direct or indirect supervision of IT professionals to include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance, rewarding, and administering corrective actions; and addressing complaints and resolving problems.
      • Lead and motivate the IT team across multiple sites, providing guidance and support to ensure their professional development and success. Act as a mentor and role model, inspiring the team to achieve their full potential.
      • Ensure the safety and quality standards expected of all SCN BestCo staff are met.
      • Plan organizational structure, position content, and staffing levels.

      Required Qualifications

      Education & Experience:

      • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, or related field.
      • 12 years’ progressive IT experience in a global enterprise, including managing a team of professionals.
      • Prior experience implementing, managing, and maintaining a state-of-the-art ERP system (SAP S4/Oracle JDE/Fusion).
      • Experience in the most current technologies and products used in the manufacturing industry.

      Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities (KSAs):

      • Strong knowledge of IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) and IT Service Management processes.
      • Cross-functional knowledge of the activities and services provided by an IT department.
      • Ability to build and maintain effective relationships at all levels and gain reputation as a trusted leader, advisor, and business partner.
      • Ability to meet deadlines, conduct and direct research into IT issues and products, and ability take initiative in the development and completion of projects. Ability to think strategically and execute those initiatives.
      • Demonstrated professional endurance and ability to manage stressful situations with a positive attitude.
      • Strong project management, organizational, time management, problem-solving, analytical, and evaluative skills.
      • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
      • Must have the ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with internal staff and management. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
      • Must be able to demonstrate practical problem solving and trouble shooting skills. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

      Preferred Qualifications

      • MBA or master’s degree in information technology, computer science, or related field.
      • Experience in the over the counter (OTC), pharmaceutical, or food industry particularly with 21-CFR-Part 11 compliance or experience in a regulated industry.
      • Experience with SAP S4 Hana & Oracle JDE / Fusion implementation and operations
      • Project management or ITIL certification.
      • Good understanding of business processes – finance, sales & distribution, manufacturing & supply chain management.
