Provide market analytics leadership to U.S., Global or Pipeline commercial teams to drive investment decisions.
Act as strategic partner to frame, investigate, and answer key business questions related to the identification and evaluation of commercial strategies and tactics.
Lead identification of information needs and development of research and data analysis plans.
Develop and execute creation of in-house knowledge base to drive patient and HCP insights.
Connect research and analytics together to tell a compelling and persuasive story and deliver clear and actionable recommendations to senior leadership.
Develop and monitor key performance metrics to evaluate and enhance the effectiveness of a brand’s marketing campaign.
Recommend campaign improvement and corrective actions.
Evaluate campaign assets to ensure optimal customer experience steeped in deep customer insights.
Integrate campaign insights to broader analytic activities to paint the full picture of marketing execution and customer behavior and inform resource allocation decisions
Assist in advancing the vision for the future direction of brand activities (Journey Orchestration, Next Best Action, etc)
In partnership with key Pfizer stakeholders, act as lead for the development of Long-Range Forecasts (LRFs) and Operating Plans.
Coordinate forecasting activities with local in-country, Global, and Forecasting CoE colleagues.
Drive the creation of best-in-class epi- and trend-based forecast models in partnership with CoE colleagues.
Review and enhance forecasts or strategic brand plans with strong expertise in ability to qualify and quantify the business opportunity, including communicating results and recommendations to senior leadership.
Ensure accurate effective performance measurement and deliver regular assessments of portfolio performance to leadership, including clear articulation of the data and its meaning for the business.
Lead dialogue to integrate insights across various cross-functional teams – data science, analytics engineering, market research, and analytics transformation and governance teams
Actively contribute to advancement of team capabilities through thought leadership; seek to share knowledge and expertise with other colleagues making use of knowledge sharing platform.
Alignment with other analytic teams to ensure cohesive activities with our stakeholders.
Partner with other analytic functions to advance the use of novel data sources including RWD.
Ensure team commissioning and contracting through preferred vendors
Accountable for team meeting compliance and Corporate SOP obligations of all primary market research projects
Crate and manage budgets associated with assigned activities
Direct and prioritize workload of flexible resources
Be accountable for continuous improvement and identification/utilization of new capabilities to maximize the competitive advantages of the business
Fluent in English (written and spoken)
Strong MS Excel and PowerPoint skills
Known subject matter expert for quantitative and qualitative primary market research methodologies
Extensive experience in the design and management of secondary data analytics
Forecast experience with ability to run models to understand risks and uncertainties, with ability to communicate ‘the story’ to commercial leadership
Previous demonstrated experience in using innovative techniques to monitor, simulate and analyze complex data sets preferred
Ability to assess and direct vendor technical capabilities and manage risks in the analytic process
Ability to be flexible, prioritize multiple demands, deal with ambiguity, and lead teams through complex and challenging cross-functional projects
Recognized expertise and coach to others on connecting, integrating, and synthesizing analysis into a meaningful ‘so what’ to drive clear strategic recommendations and enable commercial decision making
Proven ability to act as a strategic partner with the capacity to quickly establish relationships of trust, credibility, and be seen as a driving partner to commercial clients
Previous demonstrated experience of forecasting revenues, including complex methodologies
Ability to identify, prioritize and describe relevant caveats and uncertainties in research, analytic projects, and forecasts, including how they relate to the business question and broader strategic priorities
Previous demonstrated Business / Financial acumen
10+ years’ experience in Biopharma, analytics, strategic consulting, business, or related area
Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) required. Masters (or equivalent) preferred in a quantitative discipline
Analytics, statistics and/or database knowledge and experience (using tools, applications, platforms, etc.)
Demonstrated success in a highly fast-paced setting
Ability to identify new issues, trends, and opportunities from data
Ability to influence without authority, setting business direction, priorities, and action plans
Demonstrated analytical capabilities and critical thinking skills
Strong project management and organizational skills with cross-functional teams of diverse colleagues
Written and verbal communication skills
Strong customer service orientation

ROLE SUMMARY
Pfizer is looking for an Insights, Strategy, and Execution Director to lead thought-partnership with an assigned global, U.S., or a pipeline franchise team.
Insights, Strategy and Execution (ISE) plays a pivotal role in the intersection of business and analytics. This is a team of specialized, strategic experts in with deep knowledge of the business, the customer, and in analytics and research principles, thus ensuring insights are actionable and executed with measurable impact. From optimizing our go-to-market strategy to turning data into meaningful insights that will have a direct impact on patient’s lives.
This role will collaborate closely and integrate insights across key cross-functional teams – data science, analytics engineering, market research, and analytics transformation and governance teams – to deliver, best in-class, data-driven insights.
The person in this role will use a combination of analytic techniques to deliver clear and impactful recommendations that drive brand strategy – including executing primary market research, key performance measurement & tracking, campaign optimization, and customer data mining.
