      What is the opportunity?

      This role will serve as the US Regulatory Reporting lead for Internal Audit. The role will provide independent, objective assurance over the design and execution of the Bank’s regulatory reporting practices established through U.S. CFO Group’s internal infrastructure, frameworks, and policies. This role is a key contributor to ensuring the Bank’s regulatory reports align with the requirements prescribed by key regulators. Responsibilities will involve frequent interaction with senior leadership across the organization as well as periodic interaction with external regulatory examiners.

      What will you do?

      • Key responsibilities involve participating in and overseeing audit engagements/projects primarily focusing on U.S. Regulatory Reporting, including:
        • Evaluating resource needs and assigning resources to ensure timely completion of regulatory reporting audits, issue validations, continuous risk monitoring, and regulatory request responses in alignment with Internal Audit methodology;
        • Creating and executing comprehensive audit plans to assess the effectiveness of regulatory reporting processes and controls;
        • Overseeing the execution of Internal Audit’s specifically designed Regulatory Reporting Testing Approach, which includes ongoing risk assessment, evaluation of the design and operating effectiveness of key regulatory reporting controls, and transaction testing of key regulatory reports for completeness and accuracy;
      • Offer guidance and training to staff and management on regulatory reporting requirements and best practices;
      • Supervise and manage audit staff, providing direction, coaching, and performance feedback;
      • Keep abreast of changes in regulatory reporting requirements and industry best practices;
      • Participate in special projects and initiatives related to regulatory reporting;
      • Drive the continual assessment of key and emerging risks, working with all risk stripes to aggregate risks to the Audit Committee and facilitate plan adjustments as necessary;
      • Deliver key insights to management and supporting functions;
      • Support the continuous improvement of audit methodologies, audit approach and related practices;
      • Coordinate and manage regulatory requests and examinations with bank regulators and external auditors.

      What do you need to succeed?

      Must-have

      • 10 plus years of internal audit experience coupled with relevant regulatory reporting experience including control and transaction testing.
      • Strong understanding of financial institution regulatory reports (e.g., FR Y-9C/Call Report, FR 2052a, FR Y-14, FR Y-6, FR Y-10, etc.).
      • Prior work within a large scale, matrixed organization.
      • Experience drafting and negotiating findings and audit reports with senior executives.
      • Experience managing professional staff.
      • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field of study.

      • Regulatory background in reviewing financial institution regulatory reports
      • Consulting/public accounting experience

      The expected salary range for this particular position is $160,000-$250,000, depending on your experience, skills, and registration status, market conditions and business needs.
