      The Opportunity

      One of JLL’s major global business lines, Work Dynamics, helps clients see what’s possible; enabling large, complex organizations to shape their workplaces and their workforce’s experiences to achieve a more human centric, more resilient and a more responsible real estate offering to create a better world of work. Our team serves clients with a suite of services across multiple industries and geographies. We create and deliver integrated, tech-enabled services that address the entire real estate life cycle.

      We are currently seeking a Director of Communications to lead the strategic direction, planning and execution of employee and executive communications (internal/external communications for select executives) for Work Dynamics Technology Group (WDT). This role manages engaging, informative and inspiring employee communications that reinforce our global strategy, support employee engagement and retention, and enable successful change management and transformation by successfully intertwining and embedding our technology narrative in Work Dynamics audience channels. The successful candidate will understand our Work Dynamics business and culture, and influence leaders by integrating key pieces of the WDT strategy in new and existing channels. When appropriate, this individual will partner on and drive external communications that strengthen WDT’s market presence and support marketing campaign efforts. The successful candidate will understand key messages and business challenges, translating them into clear and crisp messaging points, and will adeptly guide and support top level executives (including WDT CEO) through communications initiatives. The individual will remain aligned with external marketing initiatives and champion JLL’s brand, purpose, culture and values, positioning JLL as an employer of choice and the premier global corporate real estate services provider.

      This role will report to the Head of Global Communications, Work Dynamics.

      Essential responsibilities

      • Develop and execute successful employee and executive communication strategies and programs that align to business mission and goals

      • Understand and clearly articulate each executive’s goals and objectives in relation to the business’ mission, values and strategic direction in all communications

      • Develop robust strategic communication plans that include digital, on-demand and multi-channel execution; introduce and implement new ideas and best practices to ensure channels and content stay relevant and approachable

      • Strong ability to influence stakeholders and decision-makers and earn their support

      • Support the Product leaders in developing internal and external messaging to launch new products and existing product enhancements.

      • Work closely with executives to prepare speeches, scripts and presentations for executive-level speaking engagements, including internal and external events

      • Monitor social media for topics relevant to each executive’s area of expertise

      • Develop thought leadership blog posts and contribute articles on behalf of executives on channels like LinkedIn

      • Partner with Public Relations/external communications on executive messaging and key story placements

      • Manage the organization’s major intranet, collaboration sites and internal communities

      • Provide strategic counsel to business leaders on communications issues and change management programs

        • Collaborate with global colleagues and counterparts to ensure aligned and consistent messaging drives desired results across geographies and partnering business lines

      • As the business line’s technology and product communications subject matter expert, take on special projects as needed to further business objectives and support key stakeholders

      The Requirements

      • 10+ years’ experience in communications marketing and/or journalism

      • University degree

      • Creative problem solver and self-starter with demonstrated creativity, bias toward innovation and ability to drive change

      • Background working in a global, matrixed organization preferred

      • Experience managing multiple communications channels and reaching disparate audiences

      • Experience in change communications and working across geographies

      • Expert stakeholder management skills and ability to navigate and promote multiple priorities of senior leaders concurrently

      • Executive presence and comfort interacting with senior executives; ability to act as a trusted advisor

      • Ability to work confidently and effectively with all levels of employees

      • Proven ability to deliver excellent results in a fast-moving, ambiguous environment

      • Collaborative individual who works well in a team environment

      • Excellent written and verbal communication, and editing skills

      • Understanding of and commitment to client service
