Job Description

- Lead scouting and vetting of new toy and game concepts from global inventor partners
- Cultivate strong relationships with inventors, innovation studios, and creators
- Host and manage pitch sessions, reviews, and toy fair meetings, demonstrating strong presentation skills to effectively communicate ideas and influence key stakeholders
- Work closely with internal design, marketing, and R&D teams to evaluate external submissions
- Manage licensing deals, IP rights, and contract negotiations for selected concepts
- Represent the company at industry events and innovation summits, showcasing strong presentation skills and brand representation
- Stay on top of play trends and provide strategic guidance on opportunity areas
- Champion external innovation across the company and advocate for inventor concepts
- Manage, mentor, and inspire a team of passionate inventor relations teammates, leveraging strong people management skills to drive performance, growth, and collaboration
- Oversee and manage the budget for inventor relations activities, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and adherence to financial goals
- Collaborate and manage relationships with the legal department to ensure compliance with licensing deals, IP rights, and contract negotiations
- What You’ll Bring:
• 10+ years of experience in the toy industry, preferably in product development, innovation, or inventor relations
• Deep knowledge of the global toy inventor ecosystem and a strong creative network
• Proven track record of commercializing inventor-submitted concepts
• Excellent communication, relationship management, and licensing negotiation skills
• Passion for toys, creativity, and storytelling
• Ability to travel globally for pitches, fairs, and inventor summits - Starting Pay Range: $144,400
- Pay Range End: $217,200
