      Job Summary

      Directs overall logistics centralized planning strategy to ensure the timely and cost-effective transportation and distribution of goods. Manages logistics team responsible for executing all aspects of the load building process and daily metric tracking, including volume, weight & revenue. Develops and implements strategies to optimize logistics processes, improve operational efficiency, and support business objectives. Aligns closely with sales and product management to develop service strategics for all customers serviced through the US wire & cable distribution centers.

      Key Responsibilities

      Establishes and sustains the organizational framework and operational procedures that support effective centralized logistics planning.

      Adjusts operational strategies and resources to align with business goals, ensuring optimal performance to Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) across distribution centers.

      Drives positive and consistent customer experience by serving as the primary point of contact between sales, product management, and distribution operations, facilitating the resolution of customer and warehouse concerns.

      Partners with cross-functional teams, including Distribution Engineering, Business Transformation, and IT—to contribute to the design and implementation of improved systems and operational processes.

      Leads coordination between sales and distribution center operations to synchronize volume projections and lead time expectations, ensuring seamless operational planning.

      Partners with the transportation team throughout RFP negotiations, championing organizational transportation initiatives aimed at improving service quality and achieving cost efficiencies.

      Collaborates with the supply chain team to guarantee the efficient allocation, distribution, and delivery of resources across Southwire's internal operations.

      Educates all levels of leadership across the organization on logistics trends and strategic plans for continuous improvement.

      Leads initiatives focused on simplifying and automating business processes to improve operational effectiveness and streamline workflows.

      Hires and develops a high-performing team, providing coaching and guidance to ensure continuous improvement and professional development.

      Required Education & Experience

      Minimum Education Level: Bachelor's Degree

      Required Work Experience: 8-11 Years

      Field(s) of Expertise: Warehousing and Distribution, Shipping Operations

      Preferred Education & Experience

      Master's Degree

      12 - 14 Years of Experience
