Job Summary This position will provide high complex data insight and financial analysis support on various initiatives. This will include ad hoc analysis, trend analysis, and reporting related to business results. A successful candidate will be a subject matter expert in operational business tools and use those tools to coach our restaurant leadership teams. In addition, this candidate, will be responsible for creating/implementing strategy to drive the business forward. Analysis and strategy produced by this person will be used to make forward-looking decisions affecting sales, profits, team members, and guests. Your Key Job Functions • Manage analysis, tracking, and reporting of trends in key operating areas with established performance benchmarks. • Provide and oversee key insights from data analysis to ensure all programs effectively support operational initiatives. • Maximize reporting efficiencies to enable timely and effective analysis of results. • Perform review and analysis of P&L results vs. expectations and develop operational steps necessary to improve sales and increase profitability. • Determine feasibility and/or return on existing programs and proposed programs. • Proactively search out opportunities for operational improvement through analysis of trends and report to customers in an organized, easily understood format. • Act as a key contact for Maggiano’s Team members (Operational and Corporate) with special requests of analysis which will be instrumental in decisions made to improve operational results. • Collaborate with operations leadership to provide guidance, coaching and influence through key business tools used by restaurant operators. What You Bring to the Team • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting. MBA a plus. • 6-8 years related work experience, Restaurant Operations and Business Intelligence experience a plus. • Advanced excel experience with database mining and knowledge of other MS Office applications required. • Ability to create advanced financial models. • Intellectual curiosity with strong analytical, critical thinking skills, and the ability to strategize. Must have attention to detail. • Proven ability to solve problems and overcome obstacles. • Team oriented/collaborative, strong interpersonal skills, and an ability to build trust and relationships effectively. • Proven ability to multi-task and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. • Motivated self-starter and able to work independently. • Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize projects based on cost/benefit. • Demonstrated leadership skills and direct report management experience with the ability to lead, coach, and develop team members. • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate and influence effectively with both with internal and external stakeholders. • Ability to deliver needed messaging and decision-making with all audiences, including senior leaders, and in all forms (e.g., written, oral, developing and performing presentations). • Demonstrated ability to facilitate collaborative solutions to complex multi-disciplinary problems, understanding potential impacts to processes and related IT systems supporting the company. • Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy and precision in financial reporting and analysis. • Self-starter with strong organization skills and the ability to multi-task and prioritize workload. • Effectively handle ambiguity in all aspects of work, including business direction and strategy.
