      We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director – Manufacturing HSE to lead and elevate health, safety, and environmental performance across our manufacturing operations. This role will serve as a strategic partner to operational and site leadership, driving a culture of safety excellence and compliance. The successful candidate will provide both technical expertise and leadership in the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of HSE programs, ensuring the well-being of our employees, subcontractors, and the integrity of our operations.

      Key Responsibilities:

      • Lead the development and execution of a comprehensive, standardized HSE program across manufacturing sites.
      • Partner with operational and site leaders to promote safe behaviors and strengthen safety culture at all levels.
      • Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state/provincial, and local HSE regulations by monitoring legislation, updating standards, and advising leadership on action plans.
      • Ensure compliance with all environmental permits as well as applicable federal, state, and local environmental regulatory requirements.
      • Provide guidance on incident prevention, regulatory inspections, and risk mitigation strategies.
      • Conduct and oversee audits and site inspections to ensure program effectiveness and drive continuous improvement.
      • Oversee timely and accurate reporting of all workplace incidents, injuries, and environmental events, including workers’ compensation and liability claims.
      • Develop effective HSE training programs aligned with compliance requirements and internal safety objectives.
      • Streamline safety systems to reduce complexity while maintaining regulatory compliance and operational effectiveness.
      • Lead a team of safety professionals, providing mentorship, development, and performance management.
      • Champion strategic safety initiatives that support long-term organizational goals while managing short-term priorities.

      Minimum Qualifications:

      • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Industrial Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
      • Minimum 12 years of progressive HSE experience in manufacturing environments.
      • At least 7 years in a senior safety leadership role managing a team in a large or matrixed organization.
      • Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, workers’ compensation programs, and safety management systems.
      • Proven track record of building and sustaining a proactive safety culture.
      • Demonstrated success in improving safety performance metrics and implementing scalable HSE systems.

      Preferred Qualifications:

      • Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or similar certification preferred.
      • Experience with regulatory compliance audits, ISO 45001 implementation, and EHS software systems.
      • Strong analytical skills and ability to use data to drive decision-making and performance improvement.
      • Exceptional leadership, communication, and collaboration abilities with proven experience influencing across functions and levels.
