Director - Maquiladora Forwarding (HOG)

- Manage the overall Maquiladora business, ensuring customer service and transactions are in order.
- Lead all departments within the group and coordinate with supporting departments to align with group needs.
- Improve business and operational performance and efficiency.
- Drive business development to meet or exceed Maquiladora business goals.
- Develop and lead new business projects.
- Prepare reports for top management.
- Identify, pursue, and maintain a pipeline of prospects to meet sales quotas.
- Secure new accounts through prospecting and active sales efforts.
- Stay informed on freight carrier services, rates, and regulations to provide accurate information to customers.
- Coordinate with GUS Procurement on rates and contracts to ensure competitive pricing and service.
- Lead sales of transportation solutions to C-level executives of large corporations.
- Assess potential investments, JVs, or M&A activities to secure growth in the Maquiladora sector.
- Manage department personnel, monitor productivity, KPIs, and service contracts.
- Recommend organizational development within the Maquiladora organization.
- Lead, coach, and empower team members to achieve goals aligned with company values and strategies.
- Stay current with industry trends, developments, competitors, and innovative solutions.
- Build new business opportunities and relationships.
- Represent GLOVIS at industry events.
- Perform other duties as assigned, including executing monthly business plans and generating new leads.

- Proven leadership experience in a sizable company (1,000+ employees)
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in PC applications and database management
- Excellent presentation skills
- Experience leading cross-functional teams in developing transportation solutions
- Strong knowledge of supply chain, TMS operations, and IT functionality
- Bachelor's Degree required; Master's preferred
- 10-15 years of direct experience required; 13-18 preferred
- Experience in sales prospecting, pursuing, presenting, and closing
- Minimum 7-10 years of supervisory experience
- Sitting for long periods, repetitive hand use, lifting up to 20 lbs, standing/walking
- Located in San Diego, CA, in a typical office environment
- Communication via phone and email

Compensation Range
$200,000-$235,000 per year (subject to a compensation study upon candidate selection).
