      About the Job:

      The Director of Marketing to Taco Bell Canada is responsible for planning and executing the strategic plans, marketing calendar, and media with the goal of driving profitable growth for the Canadian business. With support from the Marketing Analyst and Associate Digital Marketing Manager, they work to build promotional plans and windows with alignment of internal cross functional partners and our franchisees which drive our strategic pillars and grow sales. This team, led by the Marketing Director is responsible for these process from conception to in store execution.

      The Marketing Director leads our National Advertising Board (NAC) with franchisees sharing and gaining alignment on plans and offers. They also own the relationships with many external partners including Creative Agencies, Media Agencies, and PR partners. In additional to planning and executing they are also responsible for analyzing performance of programs and ensuring they are delivering on sales and profit results as planned.

      Beyond the core work within marketing this person is also to act as a thought partner across the business including Finance, Technology, Development, and Operations.

      This person also gets the opportunity to continue to build stronger harmonization across the Canadian and US business and will represent the brand preparing quarterly business updates to US Executive Teams and US FIT (Food Innovation) Leadership all while supporting bold growth of the Taco Bell brand in Canada!

      The Day-to-Day:

      • Execute Experiences / Promotional windows & brand initiatives. Includes creative development, media planning, POS set up, Cross Functional Collaboration, and analysis.
      • Strategic and creative menu refreshes; analysis of pricing and impact of previous pricing lifts to make recommendations as well as supporting with a creative refresh to the look
      • Media Planning + Optimization: 2025 Media briefed in August, will need to finalize for 2025 and brief and plan for 2026 and beyond!
      • 2025 + 2026 & beyond Calendar Planning: Partnering in the North America structure this person will be working cross functionally and with franchise partners to ensure 2025 calendar remains optimal, and work towards planning 2026 calendar. Often 6-7 dual message promotional windows per calendar year.
      • Requires close partnerships with our Food Innovation Team, QA Team, and Supply Chain Teams as well as project management skills to support product innovation coming into the Canadian market.
      • “NAC” Management: Lead the sharing of strategy and plans to our board of franchisees. This will include updating on key projects, sharing results, as well as gaining alignment on strategies and programs moving forward. Strong relationship management skills are required.
      • Agency Management: Lead management of 3 key partners. Creative agency, media agency, and PR agency.
      • Marketing Budget Management
      • Support Associate Digital Marketing Manager in developing strategies to grow digital sales footprint with 3P partners & owned digital channels.
      • Support Market Analyst executing, analyzing, and optimizing promotional offers.
      • Travel to the U.S expected 4-6x annually.

      Is This You?

      • Bachelor’s degree (marketing, management, business, finance) required
      • 10+ years experience working in brand marketing / strategy / planning
      • 4+ years’ experience leading and managing a team. Strong leadership presence and communication skills; ability to translate vision into action.
      • Experience working in or with agencies is a plus – ability to manage, work with, and navigate outside agencies and relationships.
      • Experience in the multi-channel retail industry, QSR, CPG and/or franchised business is a plus.
      • Previous Canadian business and cultural experience preferred
      • Previous experience in digital marketing, Ecommerce, CRM
      • Strong leadership, coaching, interpersonal and communication skills
      • Strategic/broad business thinking skills
      • Dynamic, energetic, and positive leader
      • Strong influencing skills

      Salary Range: ­­$140,800 to $183,000 CAD annually + bonus eligibility + benefits
