      The Director of Marketing Insights will support extending our leadership position through the data analysis and insights generation to inform and optimize our marketing strategies. Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer, this role is responsible for collecting relevant data and delivering actionable insights that enhance our marketing campaigns, customer engagement and overall business performance.

      The successful candidate enjoys working in a dynamic, fast-paced and changing environment, and is comfortable leading global cross functional teams with a results- and continuous improvement-driven approach.

      Responsibilities:

      • Develop and implement AES’ customer-focused marketing insights strategies, plans in support of AES’ purpose and growth objectives
      • Build, lead and develop a hard-working team focused on results and continuous improvement supporting marketing analytics, market research and competitive intelligence
      • Assess use of insights across markets and create standards and best practices for how across the organization
      • Lead the collection, analysis and interpretation of marketing data, including customer behavior, campaign performance, market trends and competitive analysis
      • Responsible for aggregating internal data with a view of cross-channel reporting efforts
      • Set internal data measurement guidelines to ensure data quality and accuracy
      • Oversee the translation data into actionable insights that drive marketing strategy and decision-marking to share with relevant functions
      • Design and implement market research initiatives to get customer feedback, industry trends and competitive intelligence working with local Commercial and Marketing teams
      • Establish and maintain customer segmentation models to tailor marketing efforts to specific audiences
      • Monitor and analyze competitor activities and market activities to find opportunities and threats
      • Collaborate with other Marketing functions, and Innovation, Solutions, Commercial and Communications teams to ensure alignment and successful execution of marketing strategies
      • Create regular and ad-hoc reports, dashboard and presentations that communicate key insights to collaborators
      • Stay up to date with data analytics and digital tools and technologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
      • Manage budget to optimize for performance

      Experience and Qualifications:

      • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, statistics, data science, analytics, computer science, or related field; MBA is a plus
      • 15+ years of marketing analytics, market research or related experiences with roles of increasing responsibility in a global organization
      • Energy industry or relevant business-to-business industry experience preferred
      • Strong analytical and data interpretation skills
      • Strategic problem solver with strong organizational and project management skills
      • Excellent communications and interpersonal skills
      • Proficiency in marketing tools and analytics platforms
      • Knowledge of statistical analysis and modeling techniques
      • Leadership and team management experience
