What’s in it for you?

We are looking for an Associate Director or Director to join our Mergers & Acquisitions team in either Perth or Adelaide office. You’ll be involved in all stages of the transaction process, including deal preparation, preparing marketing materials, bidder research, conducting pricing analyses, due diligence preparation and coordination, to completion. More importantly, there is continuous opportunity to develop your own unique career with EY.

You will also:

• Contribute to strong client relationships through interactions with our clients
• Prepare industry research / market mapping to assist in identifying potential acquisition targets for both private equity investors and corporate strategic buyers
• Contribute to new lead generation including businesses that should be targeted by the firm as potential clients
• Contribute to engagement planning and ensure that deliverables meet the project timetable

What we’re looking for

Here’s our ‘wish list’ but don’t worry if you don’t tick all the boxes. We’re interested in your strengths, what you want to learn, and how far you want to go.

• At least 7 years professional experience, including at least 4 years’ experience in executing M&A transactions
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• A high level of commercial acumen and strong financial analytical skills
• A curiosity to learn and contribute to a highly motivated team
• Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills
• The ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Tertiary qualifications in Finance, Commerce or similar disciplines
• An existing right to work in Australia
