      As we evolve and expand our full-funnel digital capabilities, we are seeking a seasoned Director of Digital Advertising to join our growing and innovative team. You will work across multiple clients, serving as both the client lead and senior subject matter expert, affording you a unique opportunity to bring value to several brands in a multitude of ways. Partnering with and reporting to our SVP of Advertising, you'll be tasked with helping sell through our core philosophy of the intersection between brand and performance through best-in-class strategic media recommendations.

      This can be a fully remote position (U.S. only) or an in-office/hybrid position for those who live in the Greater Sacramento Area.

      You Will

      Client Strategist Responsibilities:

      • Serve as the client strategist (primary POC) on one or more highly complex, strategic client accounts, working with the internal client team to deliver against client goals via Paid Search, Paid Social, Programmatic, and Content Syndication channels.
      • Lead analysis of weekly and quarterly performance and trends, and set client expectations via clear, concise, strategic communications.
      • Create ongoing and ad hoc reporting deliverables for clients with reports including actionable insights informed by channel best practices and past learnings
      • Work with complex data sets to analyze campaign performance, uncover insights, and drive optimizations.
      • Provide clients with best practices on creative, specific to funnel-stage, and media tactics.
      • Track media consumption habits of target audiences and track clients' competitors, providing insights and recommendations.
      • Identify testing needs, develop test plans, and work with the client to execute and report on findings.

      Team Client Management (Your Book Of Business) Responsibilities

      • Serve as a trusted advisor to senior clients and C-suite executives, articulating strategies and insights with clarity and conviction.
      • Advocate for holistic, full-funnel media strategies, ensuring clients understand the interplay between upper-funnel awareness and lower-funnel performance, identifying new channels and partnerships that drive performance and align with client objectives.
      • Drive innovation in channel mix, targeting, and measurement, constantly refining our approach based on data and emerging trends.

      Team Personnel Management Responsibilities

      • Manage and coach a team of Digital Ad Managers and/or Coordinators, including their day-to-day work and overall professional development.
      • Ensure service delivery excellence by providing feedback on weekly client updates, client deliverables, Quarterly Business Reviews, etc.
      • Coach your team on Paid Search, Paid Social, and Programmatic channel best practices as needed
      • Ongoing performance management, including completing annual performance reviews & quarterly conversations.
      • Serve as the point of escalation for any employee or client issues.
      • Be well integrated with the broader client services team - e.g., participate in team meetings, be active on Slack, etc.

      You'll Have

      • 7+ years of experience designing and managing paid advertising campaigns with large budgets & complex strategies across multiple channels and driving quantifiable results.
      • Experience leading digital advertising teams (preferably at an agency).
      • Broad fluency in digital channels—including paid search, paid social, native, influencer, CTV/OTT, content syndication, and publisher-direct.
      • A strong understanding of full-funnel planning—balancing brand-building with performance marketing.
      • Hands-on experience with multiple advertising platforms (Google, Meta, LinkedIn).
      • Exceptional presentation and
      • Exceptional presentation and storytelling skills—able to articulate ideas persuasively both on paper (decks/memos/sheets) and in a room
      • Client-facing leadership experience, with a track record of selling through strategies to executive stakeholders
      • Experience working cross-functionally with creative, data, and tech teams to bring media strategies to life
      • Experience using analytics tools (Google Analytics)
      • Strong project management and communication skills
      • Prior agency experience is a must. B2B is a big plus.

      The salary range for this position is $110k - $130k / year DOE
