      Position Summary:

      The Director of Estimation – LPS is responsible for leading the development, standardization, and execution of all estimation activities supporting the Lifecycle Performance Services business unit. This includes oversight of capital, retrofit, controls, and installation cost estimating efforts across a diverse range of industries and solutions. This leader will guide a team of experienced estimators across multiple disciplines, driving consistent and competitive pricing strategies that support business development, project execution, and financial performance.

      Key Responsibilities:

      · Lead and manage a cross-functional team of estimators responsible for mechanical, electrical, and controls estimating in the LPS portfolio.

      · Ensure the development of timely, accurate, and competitive estimates across retrofit and service projects ranging from $1K to $15M+.

      · Collaborate with Sales, Engineering, Procurement, and Project Execution teams to align on pricing strategies, scope clarity, and estimation accuracy.

      · Oversee estimation efforts from early-stage ROMs through final pricing and change management support for active projects.

      · Attend and support internal and external proposal reviews, defending estimates with data-driven rationale and team input.

      · Develop, implement, and enforce standardized tools, templates, and procedures to increase estimating accuracy and efficiency.

      · Partner with Finance and Procurement to apply historical cost data and market feedback into future estimate strategies.

      · Lead training, onboarding, and career development for the Estimation team; develop annual goals, conduct performance reviews, and manage staffing plans.

      · Provide ongoing support for change order pricing, project cost reconciliation, and lessons learned feedback loops.

      · Represent the Estimating function in executive project reviews and portfolio-level financial reporting.

      · Support field offices and international opportunities with estimation as needed.

      Required Skills & Experience:

      · 10+ years of experience in material handling, automation, or related industries.

      · Proven leadership experience managing estimation teams across disciplines.

      · Strong knowledge of material handling systems, including mechanical layouts, installation practices, and controls integration.

      · Working knowledge of AutoCAD, estimating platforms, and Microsoft Office (Excel proficiency required).

      · Familiarity with cost modeling, project lifecycles, and customer proposal development.

      · Demonstrated ability to lead in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

      · Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage across all levels of the business.

      · Experience with process creation, standardization, and continuous improvement methodologies.

      Education:

      · Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, Operations, or a related field preferred. Equivalent relevant experience will be considered.

      Occasional travel (up to 10%) may be required to support customer meetings or site reviews.
