- Extensive senior stakeholder management across Group and Market Unit functions
- Leading, supervising and executing innovation and transformation projects
- Involved in leading idea conception and taking those ideas through the product lifecycle to delivery.
- To work with market units once products/pathways are finalised in delivery and onwards productisation.
- To maintain an external network, lead conversation with external organisations that may be of synergistic interest for collaboration.
- To deputise for the Global Healthcare Transformation Director, where appropriate
- To advise market unit executive teams on healthcare pathways, healthcare innovation and facilitate with the delivery of in-house transformation projects and partnerships
- To develop, own and deliver on a cross-market unit innovation hub, in conjunction with the chief data officer’s team (within CSTO).
- To facilitate, support, measure and drive the execution of Blua and related digital health pathways.
- To facilitate, support, measure and drive the execution of provision services / footprint growth
- To contribute to BUPA’s medium to longer term strategy (2025 and beyond) led by the Group Strategy team.
- Collaborate across market units, supporting where requested evaluation and implementation of potential opportunities by considering a variety of factors from a clinical, customer and commercial perspective.
- Work with senior stakeholders to analyse customer data and business performance to identify areas of potential growth and opportunities.
- Ability to strategize big picture thinking, influence buy in across a range of stakeholder groups (including CEC) and conduct enhanced commercial negotiations creating the best outcomes for Bupa.
- Support Head of Global Healthcare Transformation and Head of Clinical Transformation and wider healthcare transformation team in creation of executive updates.
- Healthcare industry experience (mandatory)
- Clinical Degree (e.g. MBBS, MPharm etc) (desirable)
- MBA (desirable)
- Strong influencing skills and ability to navigate complex corporate matrix organisations.
- Understanding of incentives, subtleties, and drivers for strategic goals
- Respected healthcare industry presence
- P&L ownership (desired), P&L understanding (required)
- Ability to navigate ambiguity and strong emotional intelligence
- Able to inspire others, yet simultaneously enjoy working at pace
- Strong business case development expertise, coupling with analytical and critical thinking capabilities.
- Comfortable in agile environments and ability to pivot according to changing internal/external landscapes.
- Confident external and internal speaker, able to own complex issues and present critical thinking to senior stakeholder
- Proven ability and experience of leading or significantly contributing to the formation and delivery of healthcare transformation and strategy projects.
- Diverse commercial experience and capabilities with an ability to integrate and articulate commercial outcomes for use within exec updates and business case generation.
- Ability to understand financial data including creation of business case development.
- Strong organisational and project management skills, ability to prioritise competing demands and work in many disciplinaries.
- Proven experience of building effective networks within and across organisational and cultural boundaries.
- Innovative out the box thinker creating solutions to problems and new concepts which support accelerated delivery of Bupa’s strategic objectives.

The Global Healthcare Transformation Office is integral to Bupa’s ambition to be the world’s most customer centric healthcare company and supports people to live longer, healthier, happier lives and make a better world.
This role, reporting to the Global Healthcare Transformation Director, will support driving healthcare transformation globally in Bupa proactively tackling the demands of a dynamic and changing global healthcare industry and utilising expertise (internal and external) to identify advances in healthcare technology likely to impact across the market and business units in the near and longer term (1-3 years).
Specifically, the Director of Healthcare Innovation will oversee and support delivery of Bupa’s healthcare innovation projects. Working closely with (including but not limited to) the; Global Executive Team’s, the Global Clinical Leadership Team, MU and BU teams to successfully deliver transformation and the strategic benefits that follow.
