- Understand the unique aspects of hotel systems and infrastructure, including how disparate systems share information, connect, and fail.
- Knowledge of standard hotel systems, such as PMS, POS, CRS, PBX, Wi-Fi, Key Lock Systems, etc., is essential.
- Comprehensive understanding of typical hotel networking and integration setups.
- Work with the IT team to deploy new solutions and ensure hotels are prepared for new brand standards.
- Provide training, feedback, and follow-up at appropriate milestones, and listen to post-deployment feedback to identify areas for improvement and lessons learned.
- Manage multiple short-term and long-term projects, including Hotel Brand Compliance (PIP), Renovation, New Construction, Infrastructure Deployment, Systems, Upgrades/Updates/Replacement, Hardware Refresh, Payment Systems Migration, PBX Replacement/Migration
- Utilize project management tools such as Smartsheet or Planner to set thresholds milestones, allocate resources, manage change orders, and communicate progress to stakeholders.
- Establish and strengthen relationships with external hotel technology solution providers.
- Review Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and contracts.
- Manage outsourced projects.
- Review security alerts and reporting.
- Meet regularly with partners to review KPIs and plan future projects and budgets.
- Oversee proposal processes to evaluate potential technology solutions negotiate pricing, and services.
- Participate in Vendor/Product Advisory meetings and boards.
- Manage third-party IT Managed Service Providers (MSPs) to ensure consistent support service levels throughout the portfolio.
- Create and maintain Property IT MSP standards of procedure.
- Conduct weekly management communications with MSP.
- Serve as the property escalation point for service-level issues with MSP.
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT management or a similar role, preferably in the hospitality industry.
- Strong understanding of hotel technology systems, networking, and industry-specific software.
- Knowledge of PMS, POS, CRS, PBX, Wi-Fi, and Key Lock Systems.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in relevant software and technology, including hotel management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or equivalent designation is a plus.
- Willingness to travel up to 20%
