      Description

      SUMMARY

      The Director of Human Resources plays a key role in providing strategic HR guidance to the leadership of Operations and the Support Teams. The Director will provide leadership for performance management, employee communication, annual reviews and compliance with state and federal laws.

      ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES

      1. Lead the Human Resources team by providing leadership to the Employee Relations Team and the Human Resources Business Partner.

      2. Be a strategic thought partner to help leaders drive business results.

      3. Responsible for the employee policies and the employee Handbook to assist the employees with being successful.

      4. Create and communicate meaningful messages to our employees.

      5. Project management of the department’s initiatives to ensure completion of projects and alignment with the organization’s strategic plan.

      6. Analyze and interpret metrics to drive greater success for our leaders and employees.

      7. Advise management on work issues affecting their employees, including hiring, personnel policy interpretation, performance counseling, employee assistance, discipline, grievances, terminations and other personnel issues.

      8. Oversee compliance federal and state law organizations.

      ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES

      1. Advise management on the Organization’s salaries and structure with the support of the Compensation team.

      2. Organize the Organization’s response/defense to any EEOC/OCCP or unemployment inquires, claims or complaints.

      3. Perform other duties as assigned.

      QUALIFICATIONS/COMPETENCIES

      8. Experience in compensation and organizational structure development.

      9. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

      Education and/or Experience:

      Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field.

      10 + years of progressive Human Resources experience in a for profit environment.

      SPECIAL CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

      (e.g. physical or environmental requirements, irregular work schedule, required license or certification, background check)

      Physical and Environmental Requirements:

      1. Regularly lift and /or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.

      2. Vision abilities required by this job include: close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

      3. Sitting and standing for long period of time.

      4. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate (examples: business office with computers and printers, light traffic).

      License and Certifications:

      Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) is preferred.
