      Klinic Community Heath is a pro-choice community health center that provides a full range of health-related services from medical care to counselling and crisis services to wellness and education services. We have an exciting new senior leadership opportunity for you to join our dynamic team in the newly created position as the Director of Indigenous Relations. In this position you will play an integral role in helping us realize our vision of engaged and healthy communities.

      POSITION SUMMARY

      Klinic is committed to the recommendations in the Truth and Reconciliation Commission, MMIWG2S+ Inquiry, and UNDRIP reports as a whole and their specific recommendations to health care, health promotion, as well as violence prevention and aftercare. Klinic is hiring a Director of Indigenous Relations to support and guide the organization in this essential work.

      Reporting to the Executive Director, the Director of Indigenous Relations is responsible for guiding Klinic in relationship building to ensure meaningful engagement with Indigenous communities as it relates to the work and services of the organization. This position will focus on building relationships between Klinic and Indigenous community members and clients, and regularly engage with Indigenous community leaders, organizations, and individuals.

      The Director of Indigenous Relations is responsible for leading a growing team of staff in the delivery of cultural programming and services, and the ongoing alignment of Indigenous local worldviews that can translate into strengthened policies, programs, and communications.

      Klinic recognizes that reconciliation is an ongoing process and a shared responsibility for all and that our operations are not exclusive of systemic and colonial constraints.

      START DATE: Date of Hire

      HOURS OF WORK: Monday to Friday, scheduling flexibility may be required including evening/weekend work, limited travel and periodic on-call rotation.

      SALARY RANGE: $84,064 to $107,100
