      • Schedule: Monday to Friday from 9 am - 5 pm with flexibility
      • Location: Hybrid schedule (2 days remote & 3 days on-site)
      • Pay: $135-150,000 annual salary, exempt + full benefits package

      Job Summary:

      Henry Street Settlement seeks a Director of Information & Technology to provide strategic leadership and hands-on management of the agency’s IT department. This role will proactively drive the modernization of IT systems while overseeing daily operations to ensure the integrity and security of technology assets. The Director will lead and manage the IT team, ensuring high-quality support across the organization and aligning technological initiatives with the agency’s mission and long-term goals.

      Qualifications:

      • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required.
      • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a supervisory role within an IT setting
      • Advanced IT training
      • Strong project management skills, including the ability to lead initiatives from planning through execution.
      • Commitment to meeting deadlines and delivering results.
      • Experience managing all parts of a technology change, including gathering feedback from staff and leadership,
      • Strong commitment to educating staff and building organization-wide confidence and skills in using technology effectively.
      • Superior communication skills and collaboration skills
      • Strong team building and leadership abilities.

      Key Responsibilities:

      • Continually evaluate the effectiveness of the agency’s IT systems, remain abreast of the industry, and recommend new products and practices to ensure ongoing security and superior performance of the systems.
      • Provide advanced-level troubleshooting and guidance to the IT team about IT-based issues.
      • Manage change related to new technologies, including stakeholder engagement, communication planning, and adoption support
      • Promote organization-wide IT education by developing and delivering training that builds staff comfort and skills in using current and emerging technologies.
      • Contribute to various deliberations regarding planning and operations, ensure clear and consistent communication between the IT Department and the Henry Street Settlement team, vendors, and consultants, and oversee budgeting and purchasing for the IT department.
      • Oversee a systematic and highly efficient, customer-service-oriented tech support function.
      • Ensure emergency support is provided for programs operating 24/7
      • Design undertakings to make the best use of emerging products and best practices and employ a project-management approach to prompt and cost-conscious implementation.
      • Arrange for ongoing professional development for IT staff as well as training for the organization’s workforce, design to ensure full and appropriate utilization of IT resources and for the development of skills necessary to adapt to new products and practices.
      • Oversee IT-based systems for tracking and analyzing data emanating from programmatic efforts.
      • Manage and supervise IT and Database Staff
      • Oversee periodic IT compliance assessments.
      • Responsible for the entire agency's computer procurement needs.
      • Explore new technologies while identifying cost-saving opportunities.
      • Preferred technical skills:
        • Cloud‑based productivity suites
        • Enterprise email‑security gateways
        • Cloud backup and disaster‑recovery platforms
        • Next-generation endpoint protection tools
        • Automated patch‑management services
        • Customer‑support ticketing systems

      Essential Physical Job Functions:

      • Able to read, hear, sit, stoop, and stand for extended periods.
      • Able to climb stairs.
      • Lift office supplies or files to twenty pounds.
      • Ability to work onsite in the Lower East Side.
